Responsible for the maintenance and operational support of Aseptic operations and plant utilities. This

includes system maintenance and process improvements. Responsible for training maintenance and

operations personnel. Responsible for area specific maintenance controls including maintenance

planning, engineering controls and expediting. Specific achievements include:

● Over an 8 month period implemented over 12 improvement projects to the Lyophilizer to bring

the system to a condition of reliability not seen in the life of the equipment. These improvements

increased product throughput by 25%, an increase of 35 million dollars in revenue.

● Performed a review of multiple system maintenance processes, implementing many cost and

manpower saving steps aimed at effective and efficient use of resources. Use of statistical process

improvement systems allowed for the most effective use of the planned maintenance system to

identify and efficiently schedule inspections and maintenance. These improvements reduced

maintenance cost by $40,000 per year.

● Developed a training program for operations and maintenance personnel improving overall

equipment downtime and ensuring proper component delivery to tire building line with no down

stream production down time.

● Supervised the repair of a major ships control system in 6 weeks that had been down for 18

months and which 3 previous supervisors had been unable to repair.

● Supervised 11 persons in the repair of numerous ships systems required for flight operations while

experiencing a 60% failure rate of equipment brought back on line from an extended period of

inactivity. This included over 100 separate pieces of equipment or controllers that were repaired

and made operational over an 8 day period ensuring the ship was qualified for continuous flight

operations.

● Managed shipboard Electrical safety program ensuring the highest standards in the squadron

were maintained by all personnel on board. This included training, documentation and various

shipboard audits.

● Qualified in all aspects of Engineering watch standing to include operating and maintaining

shipboard water treatment systems and auxiliaries.
