Brother is a contract manufacturer for Pitney Bowes, Inc. and for other Brother Divisions. Annual revenues are approximately $80 million, with 250 employees. Brother, globally, is a $5 Billion plus company, producing and distributing a variety of electronic products.

• Collected nearly $3 million in past due items
• Enriched customer relations by being a part of the team to assure customer satisfaction

• Scheduled the picking, packing and shipping process to meet 99% order fill ratio

• Successfully upgraded SAP software from version 2.2E to 3.0F.
• Justified and achieved approval to install FTZ (Foreign Trade Zone) software- package and eliminate third party assistance. This is a $500K investment with a less than 2-year payback and was implemented first quarter 1999.
• Received approval to Implement SD (Sales and Distribution) module of SAP, and implemented fourth quarter 1998.
• Reduced inventory write off by 50% from previous year and also doubled the accuracy.

• Reduced the age and volume of past due customer purchase orders for spare parts.

Purchasing Manager 1994 to 1996
• Achieved major cost reductions every year. (approximately 2-3% of sales volume)
• Successfully closed relations with a poor-performing vendor with no interruption of Brother’s scheduled production.
• Implemented a program to evaluate vendors and award the highest achievers.
• Changed software to SAP (version 2.2E) and implemented MM (Materials Management) module. Also, assisted with the PP (Production Planning) module implementation. (1-2-95)
• Multiple sourced corrugated packaging to encourage more efficient manufacturing and reflect cost savings to Brother.
Domestic Purchasing Manager 1993 to 1994
• Single sourced polystyrene resin to achieve $200K+ of cost reduction.
• Sought and found new supplier of SAN (clear plastic) material to show over $100K of savings.
• Closed down a poor quality injection molder and expanded molder base by four, to achieve better performance. This was accomplished with only one production schedule change at Brother.
• Found an electronics broker and purchased a common component for a one shot savings of $50K. Made two more purchases during the same year for a savings of $25K each.
