Plan, organize and coordinate the Mechanical, Electrical, Plumbing and Fire Protection (MEP/FP) systems' installation for one of the largest General Contractors in the Chicago area ($500 million/year). Responsibilities include project scope development, contract writing, work coordination and installation, payment application review and project close-out. Supervise crews of up to 50 trade workers.
• Successfully completed construction of a major retail project in downtown Chicago allowing opening for holiday season. Total project size was $250 million.
• Fostered and maintained a positive relationship with several owners and owner's representatives that resulted in new projects being awarded to the Company.
• Instrumental in new project evaluations and presentations resulting in the award of new projects to the company totaling over $130 million.
• Coordinated complex commissioning activities involving multiple general contractors, subcontractors and an outside commissioning agent allowing a local television broadcasting company to begin operations as scheduled.
• Selected as an initial member of the company's QA/QC (Quality Assurance/Quality Control) Team. The goal of this group is to create cultural change and to devise processes to improve the quality and reduce the quantity of defects in the Company's work.

Managed the day-to-day operations and maintenance at a headquarters facility for largest food manufacturer in the United States. Responsibilities included acting as project manager for all construction projects, administered a $2 million operation budget and $5 million capital budget, and served as the on-site safety manager for the facility. Supervised three direct reports and crews of up to 25 trade workers.
• Developed innovative ways to improve the facility strapped with a flat budget and rising maintenance and utility costs. Initiatives included installation of occupancy sensors in all private offices, a meter on the Facilities irrigation system and replacing inefficient equipment with modern, higher efficiency equipment.
• Extended the useful life of the facility's assets by creating a preventative maintenance schedule for the Department. The schedule allowed for planning of equipment downtime and coordinating building shut downs.
• Completed numerous construction projects on time and within budget including:

Refurbished the Company’s test kitchens to better reflect existing consumer use $650,000

Directed the safe, effective and efficient conduct of all nuclear power plant operations and evolutions including training, testing, maintenance and repairs. Created and maintained a positive training environment for the students learning to operate a nuclear powered propulsion plant. Supervised over 100 nuclear-trained operators including mechanics, electricians, electronic technicians, chemists and top Westinghouse civilian engineers.
• Oversaw the successful completion of extensive maintenance shut down periods returning the power plant to its primary function of training students for duty at sea.
• Maintained excellent training standards that resulted in crew being awarded the MTS-626 Training Award for 1999.

Directed the operation of the ship control and engineering teams. Coordinated the maintenance and repair of numerous divisions' equipment in the Engineering and Weapons Departments during extended underway periods with limited manpower and material resources. • Ensured efficient turnover of all mechanical systems to shipyard allowing timely completion of ship’s decommissioning.
