Installed a new 2000 amp stand alone breaker and built new medium voltage bus work connecting the breaker to the existing grid system of the Delaware City Oil Refinery Power House. Mounted new medium voltage switch and metering PTs and CTs. Tested existing breakers and relays, installed new raceways, cable trays, and control and indication cables. Interfaced with many existing relays, switches and meters. Moved existing wiring, adding jumpers and conductors in active control cabinets and enclosures.

• Project was safely completed and no outages occurred.

Tested, repaired or replaced MI Power Limiting and Self-Regulating Heat Trace cables.

Also repaired multiple connection boxes, thermostat enclosures and G.F.I. protected branch circuit feeders from monitoring and alarm panels throughout the Gasification Unit at the Delaware City Oil Refinery.

Installed Fiber Optics, CAT 5 Communication cable, RG 6 cable and 120/240v power in One Family and Multi-Family Dwelling Units. Also installed low and medium voltage wiring and equipment in the Community Center at the same location. Project was located at Dover Air Force Base Delaware to supply new housing for the Military Personnel.

• All buildings passed inspection and received CO.

RAY ANGELLINI, INC. - SEWELL, NJ. 2006 - 2006

Electrician

Installation of underground duct bank for medium voltage supply to main gear, gear to risers throughout building, gear to pad mounted transformers. Also installed low voltage and Data cable trays through all levels of the building. Installation of HID Card Access Control System including the main control cabinets, remote power supplies and controllers, card readers, mag locks and related equipment. Also assisted with moving, setting, connecting and terminating the medium voltage distribution equipment at the new New Castle County Public Safety Building in Wilmington DE.

• All systems passed testing and inspection.

J.J. WHITE, INC. - PHILADELPHIA, PA. 2005 - 2006

Instrument Technician

Sequentially disconnected and removed all of the existing flow and level transmitters relative to the Coke Gasification Unit at the Delaware City Oil Refinery. Installed stand mounted weather- proof instrument enclosures nearest original transmitter locations. Mounted transmitters in new enclosures, fabricated and connected new tubing, purged lines and calibrated.

• All instruments were tested, inspected and back on line within the scheduled shut down.

FURNESS ELECTRIC, INC. - WILMINGTON, DE. 2005 - 2005

Electrician

Installation of underground duct bank from the nearest 480V Distribution Gear to a pair of 112.5KVA pad mounted transformers located outside the refinery’s blast radius. Constructed a wooden support wall for 4 200amp disconnects and 24 60amp disconnects to supply a new trailer city and fabrication areas. Repeated this process on the opposite end of the refinery. One of these temporary services is still in use at the Delaware City Oil Refinery.

• Both services passed electrical inspections.

GEORGE SPARKS INC. - MONROEVILLE, NJ. 2004 - 2005

General Foreman / Electrician

Managed the electrical construction of the Dupont Security Monitoring Center and several Tenant fit outs at the Dupont Chestnut Run Facility in Wilmington Delaware. These projects consisted of relocation of metering equipment, installation of new modular switch gear, new Lighting and Appliance Panel boards, UPS, transfer switching and pad mounted diesel generators. Below floor and above ceiling cable tray installations. New lights and receptacles per customer specifications.

• The Security Center was successfully relocated.

• All projects passed inspection and testing.

RIGGS DISTLER and COMPANY, INC. - CHERRY HILL, NJ. 2004 - 2004

Managed personnel on the #2 Boiler Upgrade Project at the Delaware City Oil Refinery Power House. A complete upgrade of the DCS Hardware and new instrumentation was installed. New motors, modular Motor Control Centers, lighting and receptacle Panelboards, cable tray systems and connecting raceways were installed. Pollution Monitoring Shack was set and linked with the EPA.

• #2 boiler passed testing and inspection and is 35% more energy efficient.

BATTAGLIA ELECTRIC, INC. - NEW CASTLE, DE. 2003 - 2004

Electrician

Installed switch gear, load centers, cable trays and race ways to supply various motors, lighting and appliances at the new Astra Zeneca Animal Research Wing in Fairfax Delaware. Also worked at the Newark Delaware Chrysler Plant during a model change over.

• The Animal Research Center opened on time and within budget.

• Chrysler started building new Durango’s on schedule.

FURNESS ELECTRIC, INC. - WILMINGTON, DE. 2001 - 2002

Installed panels, enclosures and raceways for the fire alarm system at the Christiana Hospital Addition Project in Christiana Delaware. Pulled wiring, terminated and mounted remote devices, installed and terminated control panels and batteries. Also worked at the Delaware Memorial Bridge, High Mast Lighting Project. Operated and Maintained a Class B International truck and a Class B International Boom truck. Assembled three section high mast poles, assembled and installed light fixtures on mast, raised and set masts and pulled in and terminated under ground circuits

Installed temporary light and power inside the containment area at Salem Unit #1 Nuclear Generating Station in Alloways Creek, NJ. Also Replaced M.I. Cable Assemblies connecting exterior branch circuits running through transition vaults, to inside containment area equipment.

This project was a scheduled 18 month refueling and maintenance turn around.

• Received extensive General and Nuclear Worker Training.

• The Reactor was brought back on line per schedule.

CONTI ELECTRIC of DELAWARE, INC. - WILMINGTON, DE. 1999 - 2000

Electrician

Delaware City Oil Refinery built 2 new 42Megawatt Generators with connecting heat recovery units. Texaco also built an Oxygen Plant to supply a new (Coke dust to Synthetic Gas) Gasification Unit. Installed Class 1 Div 2 gear and equipment through most of this project. Installed Rigid raceways and cable trays, pulled multiple low and medium voltage TC wiring. Installed multiple Heat Regulating and MI heat trace cables and relative equipment.

• The Gasifier experiment operated more than ten years.

• The Generators are still operational.
