Heavy civil contractor company specializing in intra-coastal and marine work. Primarily with the Army Corps of Engineers.

Superintendent:

(100 million or so) GIWW by pass gate and the Bayou Bienvenue sector gate located on the Inner Harbor Navigation Canal Levy in New Orleans. Work for USACE

Built the team and field supervised 40 to 50 field craft workers , engineers and Quality control personnel in the successful completion and the ongoing construction of the by-pass gate and the sector gate. Monitoring shop drawings and plans and specification adherence with the construction consisting of pile driving, coffer cell installation, structural steel and rebar placement. Installation of concrete forming equipment for 35 foot tall walls, base slabs and upper slabs. Placing all concrete as specified and finishing concrete with very strict tolerances. Supporting our client in quality control and preparation meetings. Conducting field quality control and safety meetings and providing quality control and safety documentation.

(270 M) Four Seasons 45 story hi rise condominium and hotel in Denver CO

Supervised subcontractors with installation of concrete foundations, tunnel, site concrete and walls , drainage and utility vaults and three story underground parking structure and all vertical construction. I generated, drafted and distributed punch lists for all facets of work from excavation to final room close-out on a very high profile and very high end project with strict code compliance and extremely high levels of quality. Setting of all mechanical and isolation pads. Installing boilers, pumps and fan coil units and commissioning of all mechanical equipment. Adhering to all state and local codes as well as the Four Seasons specifications.

($ 98 M) Residences at Little Nell 2007-2008 Aspen, Colorado

24 units, one sixth time share condominiums units and 2 level concrete parking structures. 218,000 sf. successfully delivered a troubled project to C.O. and tenant move in after the general superintendent and manager were fired. Subcontractor compliance, poor quality and behind schedule were just a few of the many hurdles to overcome. Accomplished by identifying the issues, notifying the right parties and removing the hurdles for subcontractor success. Implementation of Quality Control checklists. Installing and commissioning of all mechanical equipment. Installation of retaining wall systems and dewatering mechanisms. Installation of all site, civil and vertical construction to project close-out.

(24), 4 story pre-cast structures with 3 stories below grade pre-cast parking structure.

The project required working extensively with Town of Vail and CDOT due to the proximity of I-70 and frontage road easements. Blasting, rock bolting and pile driving along easements. Installing all mechanical and electrical equipment. Limited hours and limited access was a major challenge.

(16) $5-6M Townhome Residences with integrated underground parking structure. Total Construction: 104,000 sq. ft.

Dewatering and soil stabilization was a major challenge. Installing all utility pads and setting and commissioning of all electrical and mechanical equipment. Installation of water and sewer mains access difficult.

($31 M) Miller Ranch 2003-2005 Edwards, Colorado

(282) Residential units including single family, duplex, town home and condominium structures of an affordable housing development. Monitored and recorded many inspections and draw schedules for our client. Scheduling done by Primavera Sure-track and Expedition record keeping. Total Construction: 320,000 sq. ft. 60 acre lower downtown water shed project relocating infrastructure gas, water and electrical mains. Installing concrete and HDPE pipe. Erect pump stations, weir structures, culverts and reservoirs. Working around the Union Pacific Railroad and tunneling under the railroad tracks with box culverts. Installation of all pads , isolation joints and pumps. Challenging task of keeping the surrounding buildings and business’s operational and controlling storm water.

Hotel and Casino with 3-story underground parking garage. Extensive excavation created by pre-shear and production blasting of 300 ft. vertical granite. Rock bolting and soil nailing. Installation of massive concrete walls for retaining and foundations. Installation of all boiler system pumps and related mechanical equipment. Commissioning of all mechanical equipment. Total Construction: 248,000 sq. ft.

FLATIRON STRUCTURES 1980- 1986 LONGMONT, CO ($870M)

All through the Colorado Dept. of Highways

Assistant Superintendent Glenwood Canyon precast post-tension segmental bridges. 11 bridges running 8 miles to to exit the canyon. Installation of sheet piling in the Colorado River.

Assistant Superintendent C-470/1-25 cloverleaf. Total of 4 steel box girder bridges over I-25 in Denver.

Boulder Turnpike at 1-25 on and off ramps with 4 miles of 25 foot tall concrete retaining walls and extensive relocation of infra-structure and utilities

Walnut Street Viaduct downtown Denver over I-25. 2 bridges. Concrete and box girder assemblies. Extensive false work. Installation of a lower water shed concrete pump stations.

Demo and erection of 3 new bridges in Roswell, New Mexico using I-90 girders. Extensive H and sheet piling.

And many miles of I-70 improvements and civil work with expansion joints, abutments, retaining walls, box culverts, type 4 barricades, and erosion control and infrastructure relocation.
