Overview:
I haves been working within the Greek Corporate Pension Industry for many years, working in two major multinational Insurance Companies. I have been engaged in many products (DB, DC, Hybrids, OPFs), aspects and perspectives of the Pension Business, including policy design, installation and administration, actuarial studies, investments, IT systems, legal and accounting issues, client relations, sales, business development, distribution channels, strategy, management, etc.. Additional experience is found in the areas of consulting, plans benchmarking and plans mergers under A&M processes. I have also offered peripheral services for Corporate Pensions development in Central and Eastern Europe (Poland, Hungary, Czech Republic and Slovakia). There is vast experience in establishing and retaining strong relationships with multinational corporate clients, actuarial companies, brokers and agents, and in understanding and fulfilling their needs. I have also been engaged extensively in the development and management of the first OPF established by an Insurance Company in Greece. I am a Member of the Private Insurance, Social Security and Labour Issues Committee of the Greek - American Chamber of Commerce.
Achievements:
• Formation and management of the Interamerican Employees Occupational Pension Fund which includes the OPF’s Statute, the Administration/Accounting operational framework, IT Systems support, etc. This OPF is the first one in Greece for the employees of a company of the private sector.
• Design, management and implementation of the project of replacement of the old guaranteed investment returns with new, lower and more flexible (successful re-negotiation with 65 clients of Interamerican).
• Development of new products for Interamerican, as well as, redesign of all basic sales tools (proposal, contract, presentations and booklet templates), introduction of pricing model and new methods of pricing, redesign of commissions structure, new templates of annual information to the clients, introduction of new templates for actuarial studies, empowerment of the Division with young and experienced executives, etc. In addition, actual involvement in sales with significant results, redesign of administration, sales and reporting procedures and business analysis for the IT needs of the line.
• Significant participation in the growth of the Group Pension Plans Portfolio of ALICO AIG and the establishment of ALICO as the market leader with market share of approximately 54%.
• Participation in the development of the Central and Eastern Europe Region of Alico AIG in the area of Corporate Pension Business.
• World golden winner of GMD Masters Awards of AIG for significantly high top and bottom line results (2003, 2004 and 2006).
• Design, management and implementation of the project of replacement of the old guaranteed investment returns with new, lower and more flexible (successful re-negotiation with 105 clients).
• Design of three investment products exclusively for ALICO’s Group Pension Plans.
• Development of two systems for the administration of Group Pension Plans (1994 and 2004) for the Greek ALICO operation and the countries of the Region of Central and Eastern Europe of AIG.
• Development of a Customer Service System for ALICO’s Group Pension line of business.
• Participation in ALICO’s team for the projects of 2000 and the currency replacement (euro).
• Five times winner for the ten best employees of ALICO award (13 times nominee).
