• Gather new shipment files from export department and file according to sail dates.

• Pull files 1 week prior to sailing date and contact shippers/warehouse for shippers instructions.

• Regarding locations to/from, commodity, piece count, weight, and any other special instructions the shipment may require.

• Upon receipt of shipper’s instructions input all data into CaroTrans system and create digital file with all required information along with AES filling manually obtained.

• Send final in-house bill of lading to designated steamship lines by predetermined cut off dates to ensure cargo sails on the intended vessel and there are no transit delays.

• If the shipment requires provide all hazardous declaration along with certificate of origin to steamship line once manually created.

• Pull files for all shipments by sailing dates, contact each steamship line to verify the intended vessel sailed as schedule. Once confirmed on board contact shipper/warehouse and advise the cargo has sailed and advise current available ETA to destination port as advised by the carrier.

• Contact overseas agents (per shipment destination) and advise cargo has sailed and any other special instructions they may need to ensure a timely pick up from the port and delivery to the consignee.

• Upon receiving the delivery receipt from overseas agents confirm with shipper consignee has cargo and close file for billing purposes.

• Maintain china manifests 24 hours prior to vessel sailings. request, input, and distribute all required information for Canada’s export shipments

• Help customers track their cargo for export shipments

• Communicate with overseas offices to ensure timely release of export cargo upon arrival to overseas ports/destinations

• Communicate with customers via email/phone to clarify discrepancies with their current OBL’s and make necessary revisions before vessel discharge.

• Send out proof copies of all OBL’s 24 hours after vessel sailings for release approval and process corrections from customers accordingly

• Confirm rates and container status prior to releasing proofed copies to customers.

• Ensure all reefer temperature settings are correct and commodity description matches per customers master

• Upload and process all Electronic Data Interchanges for my control lanes/vessels in timely manner to meet weekly/monthly goals/quotas
