Caterpillar engine development project

• Performed oil pan analysis in Pro/E under varied oil levels, thereby saved time and expenditure on executing tilt table tests.

• Provided support to Caterpillar engineers in troubleshooting and maintenance of Pro/E assembly model of single cylinder test engine developed with AVL, Austria.

• Pro/E design responsibility for structural and thermal analysis of engine models,

- Modeled the coolant flow volume for CFD analysis of convective heating.

- Derived the BOM weight for the Marine engine variants for structural analysis.

- Computed marine engine crankcase volume towards selection of the appropriate explosion valve.

• Used Pro/E in the concept mounting of Caterpillar heavy duty air cleaner for twin turbo configuration.

Design deviations project

• Lead a group of 3 in reviewing design deviations applying tolerance stack up analysis. Facilitated timely release of updated drawings as per Caterpillar and Supplier requirements.
