In many of my prior positions, the last included, my passion for training was integral in the success of the organization. I have, along with a re-trained and coached staff been able to vilify a unit that was under performing and begin to show the owners the areas where improvement was needed to improve the bottom line. In the course of my employment, I implemented many different types of short documentation to be used as checklists on a daily basis to improve not only food cost but productivity in the unit. My superior sales ability resulted in unit catering sales increase of over 20% over a period of six months. Customer satisfaction surveys were increased by over 75% and as a result the unit was placed in the first place overall in the division for customer satisfaction surveys. In re-training the staff and other management staff I was able to help them bring food cost from over 35% to just under 24% in the period of 7 months time. The unit had been performing for over a period of 18 months with the food cost and labor costs in the upper 30%. Once I was able to review the records and maximize the staff for the business, I was able to bring the labor cost to 25% including salaried management.
