Mez is one of the top venues in Charlotte. It is a unique, different and cutting edge facility, with only a few establishments like this in the United States. This position requires great flexibility in management and operation style handling three different business concepts in one facility.
• Manage and implement company policies and procedures and exercise total financial accountability, which includes budgeting, profit and loss accounts, cost analysis, day to day operation, and inventory control of exceptional facility, generating $6 million in revenue every year.
• Carefully select and hire employees, such as the chef, management team, and staff for each concept of successful multipurpose business with 120 employees.
Key Accomplishments:
Involved in the formulation of the design, from concept to completion, of unique 200-seat upscale restaurant, luxury Movie Theater, and night club on weekends.
Developed the required operation manual for this new concept to ensure the three units can operate alongside each other effectively
AREA SUPERVISOR Harpers Group ~ Upscale and Fine Dining (Charlotte, NC) 2004-2008
• Supervised 200 employees, 12 managers, and 10 chefs with total combined revenue of $9 million (Mimosa Grill, Zink, ARPA, and Upstream) ensuring the consistent growth of the company.
• Assisted in the development of new concepts for the company and took over underperforming concepts which saved the company from the amount it lost and made the units profitable since then.
Key Accomplishment:
Restored one of the underperforming concepts, a Spanish Tapas bar, which lost larger than $124K in its first year of operation. In the second year of operation these stores became profitable.
GENERAL MANAGER Harpers Group ~ Mimosa Grill (Charlotte, NC) 1996–2004
• Managed the day-to-day operations covering all aspects of Mimosa Grill that significantly boosted sales growth and led to recognition as one of the top restaurants in Charlotte, within its first four years of operation.
Key Accomplishments:
Drove Mimosa Grill to become one of the most profitable in the Harpers Group, encouraging the group to expand with new concepts and created a strong and lasting network with the banking industry and other businesses.
Received16% additional bonus as General Manager due to stores’ exceptional profitability.
Created a successful and profitable catering department for Mimosa Grill and began room service for a neighboring hotel creating additional $50K annual revenue.
