Dancer, Minh Tran and Company, Portland, OR 2007-2011
Producing the highest level of professional artistry through the creation, performance and internationally tour-
ing of choreography under the artistic direction of Minh Tran. This dance company offers the experience of
working with others very closely on the road as well as in the studio. Professional dancers are expected to con-
sistently execute choreography while accelerating your technique and fluidity. Skills include the ability to
quickly retrograde, invert, re-draft and create choreography. Also required are good communication skills and
the understand of choreographic intent and its social parameters. Duties include meeting the demands of a
vigorous touring schedule, learning and teaching choreography to other dancers, working well with others in
challenging circumstances as well as supporting them physically and mentally. Requirements also include
committing to the rehearsal time in Portland, Oregon and touring arrangements out of town for the duration of
a five year commitment.
Director, Gratis Dans Company LLC, Portland, OR 2009-2011
Administrative duties include grant writing for specific performance pieces, working on budgetary guidelines
organized company travel with per diem, pay, hotel, and transportation; as well as stage/prop crew, artist fees,
and rental space costs. Additional duties include designing web pages, creating production and design sched-
ules, coordinating musical and set outlines. and functional design. Artistic work includes creating choreography
for different space limitations and with specific choreographic content. The most recent project explored the
study of weight sharing in the field of dance designed as community outreach program for elementary through
college bound students. This project targeted children with special needs and was administered in conjunction
with Beaverton School District.
Receptionist, Mcmenamins Kennedy School, Portland, OR 2010-2010
Responsible for using multiple phone lines for hotel reservations and other departments of the school. Schedul-
ing house keepers, checking in and out of hotel guest. Receiving payments for hotel and gift shop expense, and
daily revenue reports for different departments.

xecutive Director, Southridge High School SIMDE Organization, Beaverton, OR 2003-2010
Administrative roles include generating yearly expense reports and negotiating budget cuts, staff pay, expanding
program projection as well as purchase of equipment, travel costumes, and team apparel. Responsibilities in-
clude booking rehearsal facilities, making travel arrangements, updating membership, overseeing legal issues
and directing communication with volunteers, including drivers, costume fabricators, fundraisers board mem-
bers communication chairs. Additional responsibilities include overseeing staff on assignments communicating
with staff and others about educational philosophies, production deadlines, fees, recruiting, administrative ap-
provals and the overall progress of the membership. Primarily responsible for guiding the overall health of the
organization.
Artistic Director, Southridge High School Dance and Guard Ensembles, Beaverton, OR 2003-2010
Responsibilities include; setting up curriculum for all programs, hiring and training staff specifically in terms of
educational philosophies and training techniques, while setting up rehearsal schedules and timelines. Duties
include guiding staff throughout the year on the design and production of the overall program as well as staying
abreast of the overall health of the program.
Teacher, Special Needs and Disabilities Children’s Activity, Beaverton, OR 2010
Established the first Special needs colorguard in the northwest. This creates an environment for these students to
develop special social and physical skills otherwise overlooked in the public school system. Most students
leave with better social skills and breaking physical boundaries that they came into the program with. Dance Teacher, Westview High School, Beaverton Oregon 2009-2009
TSPC licensed classroom teacher. Responsibilities were to set up a curriculum, repercussions of the students
actions, rules and guidelines, and quizzes and testing. Other goals were to expand and broaden students’ expe-
rience, exposing them to areas of dance previously unfamiliar to them, and guiding them in the study of dance
innovators specific to their area of interest. Students learned both through embodied as well as text-based ac-
tivities increased successful outcomes in students’ ability to acquire and retain knowledge.
