Director of Maintenance (08/2008 – 08/2011)

Managed the daily operations and quality control for all skilled crafts shops including the central boiler/chiller plant, electrical, HVAC, plumbing, carpentry, energy management, locksmith/key shop. This department consisted of 49 skilled crafts employees and 2 Assistant Directors. Campus consisted of 40 facilities comprising approximately 2.5 million square feet.

Key Accomplishments:

Spearheaded the development and implementation of a robust preventative maintenance task sheet program for all skilled crafts shops

Developed and tracked expenditures for the maintenance department

Instrumental in developing the Residence Life Maintenance Plan – plan was successfully implemented prior to my departure

Implemented cost cutting measures in the utility consumption area – resulted in approximately 20% energy savings from just temperature control setbacks and revenue generation via participation in the utility Demand Response program.

Started with company as Start-Up Test Supervisor – responsible for commissioning all assigned Mechanical, Electrical and Plumbing (MEP) systems. Successful placement into service of these systems

Management of capital improvement projects for these systems once plant was operational

Responsible for developing the Vendor Qualification Program – assisted Information Technology in creation of an Access Database to track vendor qualification, Corrective Action Reports (CAR’s) and general Quality Assurance items.
