14. REASONS FOR LEAVING PRESENT COMPANY:

15. MY OBJECTIVE:

To utilize qualifications and experience as a Marine Engineer to continue & develop a

career in Engineering/Ship Building/Ship repairs/Ship inspection/offshore installations,

operations, etc. with a reputed organization requiring a honest, hard working and highly

motivated & capable individual.

16. EXERIENCE:

A) Gained wide experience, having worked on various kinds of ships including Chemical tankers, Product tanker, containers, PCCs, Bulk carries and Heavy lift, Offshore AHTS(DP 1) and Dredger.

B) Last vessel M.T. Chembulk Gibraltar had an extensive Boiler repair of 100% tube renewal during my tenure. Have witnessed complete procedure of water tube renewal sequence without disturbing alignment of respective water steam drums in place.

C) Main Fleet vessel, Chemical tanker( M.T. Chemical Star) underwent 2nd special survey during 10 yearly docking. Experienced overhauling of submersible cargo pumps(KOSAKA), replacement of cargo and oil seals, hydraulic motor and re-commissioning of pumps.

D) Chemical tanker(M.T. Bum Chin), carried out 5 yearly docking(from 12th May2010 to 22nd May 2010) in ZESCO Shipyard(China) with survey of all critical machineries under CSM program. Experience on performance analysis of submersible cargo pumps(FRAMO) with subsequent overhauling of the underperforming pumps and parts renewal.

E) Attended shipyard meetings/operations for installation of various machineries, commissioning and sea trial prior delivery of new Chemical Tanker(JBU Sapphire) in July 2009 from Kitanihon Shipyard(Hachinoe, Japan).

F) Experienced/supervised 110 days long dry dock(in Chengxi shipyard, China) of a Panamax Bulk carrier for extensive underwater damage repair along with 940 MT of steel renewal on deck.

Complete ME overhaul with main bearings, bottom end bearings inspection/renewal.

50 mtr long underwater damage on keel plate was noticed after vessel brought in Drydock. Major repairs carried out with proper planning as this involved removal of keel blocks(portion by portion), fitting of external pipe supports on the ship’s hull in order to ensure no structural deformation on the DB tanks.

Damage section under the E/R side was repaired with additional precautionary measures.

Witnessed Stern tube Alignment check (by Laser shoot method), before and after underwater repairs.

Hands on experience in Complete overhaul of Electro hydraulic Deck cranes.

Monitored complete pipe line renewal in Engine room bilges.

G) Gained good experience and vast knowledge in installations, modification, operation, maintenance, and inspection of power plants, generators, pumps, boilers, purifiers, compressors, diesel engines and various other auxiliaries.

H) Have experienced complete dismantling/ removal and installation of Daihatsu generator with bed plate and crankshaft renewal.

I) Several other routine and emergency Dry dock repairs/ major repairs were experienced during 1st Engineer and 2nd Engineer level. Removal of complete economizer from Funnel casing was one of the major repair being carried out in Mol Initiative( Container vessel) in Yura shipyard, Japan. The job was carried out by cutting open the aft side of the Engine funnel casing and replacing the complete economizer.

J) Hands on experience in bearing renewal of Turbo Generator, Turbine side(fwd & aft).
