Career Goals
I strive to provide the highest quality of conscientious nursing care to clients in the acute care medical surgical environment to ultimately advance my practice to the level of expert nurse managing critically ill patients. For those clients living with chronic illness, I strive to provide education, tools, and support to increase their quality of life.
Professional Experience
Over twenty four years of varied experience in nursing including caring for clients in the medical/surgical acute care and outpatient clinic setting as well as providing direction in preventive health measures as a fitness and wellness expert. I have assisted in the delivery of quality medically indicated managed care.
RN Nurse Refresher 2009-present
Four months intensive study of ethical and legal nursing concepts, physiological and psychosocial nursing topics, assessment of the developmental, cultural and spiritual needs of the client population.
Four months intensive didactic review and evaluation of the surgical client; clients with cardiovascular and respiratory disease; those clients with renal, gastrointestinal, immunological, and neurological disease processes.
Studied nursing care over the lifespan including care of children, infants, newborns, as well as care of the adult and older adult with chronic illnesses.
Evaluated current pharmacological and IV therapies.
One hundred twenty hours clinical rotation providing primary nursing care for four to six patients at Summerlin Hospital Medical Center.
