HQDA G8 LNO to U.S Army Pacific (USARPAC), Force Management, Fort Shafter, Hawaii – 2009 - 2011
Served as the HQDA – G8 LNO, Director of Integration (DOI) to the US Army Pacific Headquarters at Fort Shafter, HI. Assisted DOI with the flow of information and the synchronization of efforts to modernize and reorganize Army units in support of the Army’s modernization and transformation strategy. Advised and assist the USARPAC staff with the integration of new equipment into assigned units. Coordinated Army transformation and modernization efforts within USARPAC inlcluding Overseas Contingency Operations. Worked directly with DA Staff, Program Managers and Equipment Fielding Teams to schedule, plan and execute new equipment fielding and training to US Army units throughout the Pacific.
Lessons Learned Analyst/Cubic Inc. – Schofield Barracks, Hawaii 2008 – 2009
Served as an analyst in support of the 25ID Headquarters. Coordinates and collaborates with additional analyst positioned at Fort Leavenworth. Developed and uses established networks of Subject Matter Experts (SMEs) to explore non-traditional, unconventional solution sets to assist 25ID. Assisted in the coordination and direct research of non-lethal, non-kinetic questions and situational/cultural problems for the 25ID, focused in the MND-N AOR. Data mine the 25ID's OIL database sharing this information with the US Army via CALL's L2I NIPR and SIPR networks. Provided various reporting products, including: information papers, executive summaries, work summaries, and PowerPoint presentations.
Battle Staff Collective Trainer/Blackhawk Management Corp., Killeen, Texas
2006 - 2008
Served as a Military Training Analyst and Observer/Controller (O/C) for Brigade and Battalion staff collective training exercises. Responsible for providing specialized Army Battle Command System (ABCS) and Military Decision Making Process (MDMP) expertise on military training and doctrine. Provided expertise in developing tactical scenarios and executing training exercises including doctrinal development, use of digital systems and development of decision support products and After Action Review (AAR) analysis.
Project Manager/Omega Training Group, Inc. – Columbus, GA 2005-2006
Operationally manage contractual responsibilities for Omega personnel at seven different Modularity Coordination sites. Served as liaison between Omega and Prime/Sub contractors and employees serving those contracts. Responsible for screening new Operations, Plans, Training and Resource Services (OPTARSS) task orders and preparing proposal responses. Conducted interviews and hiring upon award of new contracts.
Deputy Division Manager/SAIC (Science Applications International Corporation), 2004 - 2005
Supervised fifty-three employees that conducted government contract support, both in the Soldier Battle Lab and Directorate of Training/G3 at Fort Benning, Ga. Daily functions included direct coordination with the Vice-Deputy Director, Soldier Battle Lab and Project Leads in G3 to ensure that all contractual obligations to the government were executed to standard. Conducted proposal writing to enhance business development opportunities. Responsible for personnel and training requirements of all company employees. UNITIED STATES ARMY WORK EXPERIENCE (1984-2004)
Lieutenant Colonel - Operations Officer, Soldier Battle Lab, Fort Benning, GA, 2003 - 2004
Served as the Operations Officer for the Soldier Battle Lab. Responsible for the daily operations, coordination and synchronization of all training and support requirements for six Divisions. Duties included ensuring that proper planning, coordination and synchronization of facilities. Additionally responsible for ensuing personnel conducted training, experimentation and testing of new technologies to standard, for the future military forces. Responsible for coordinating all the logistical support between the Soldier Battle Lab and all government and non-governmental agencies.
Lieutenant Colonel – Special Assistant to the Director of the Army Staff, Chief of Staff of the Army Office, Pentagon, Washington D.C., 2002-2003.
Controlled, coordinated, integrated and tasked actions and executive level correspondence for the Secretary of the Army, the Under Secretary of the Army, the Chief of Staff of the Army, the Vice Chief of Staff of the Army and the Director of the Army Staff. Assisted the Director of the Army Staff in coordination all matters involving the Deputy Chief of Staff, Operations, Joint Chiefs Staff, United States Army Europe, US Army Special Operations Command, US Forces-Korea, Forces Command, Training Doctrine Command, and the Director of Military Support.
• Published guidance issued by the Senior Army Leadership. Developed and tracked tasking requirements to the Army Staff from the Office of the Secretary of Defense and Senior Army Leadership.
• Processed staff actions pertaining to military operations and plans, force structure requirements, force protection, science and technology reviews, and Army-Wide training and transformation initiatives.
Lieutenant Colonel - Lead logistic Strategic Planner, Army G3, Pentagon, Washington D.C., 2001-2002
Lead logistic Strategic Planner for the Army Transformation Office on the Headquarters, Department of the Army Staff. Directly responsible for the coordination of all activities that involved issues relating to Transformation for the Operational Army. Key components of these coordination matters involved the coordination with other staff organizations of Headquarters, Department of the Army, Training and Doctrine Command, and Army Material Command.
• Provided direct coordination for the Chief of Staff, Army Video Teleconferences with all major command and organizations within the Headquarters, Department of the Army.
• Coordinated issues that affected Joint requirements, doctrine, force design, and strategies for the Future Combat System and Light Armored Vehicles.
Lieutenant Colonel- Deputy Commander, 45th Corps Support Group, Schofield Barracks, Hawaii, 2000 - 2001
Served as the second in command to the Group Commander in a unit consisting of over 2,000 personnel which was comprised of two multifunctional corps support battalions, a combat heavy engineer battalion, a topographic engineer battalion, and a finance battalion. Lead, trained and provided the professional development of 30 officers and 85 enlisted personnel assigned to the Headquarters and Headquarters Company.
• Formulated staff policies and ensured effective execution of command and staff actions.
• Managed an $18 million budget. Managed the staff maintenance and accountability for $150 million of property, 2 Logistics Support Vessels and over 900 wheeled vehicles, trailers and generators.
Major - Executive Officer/External Liaison Officer, Central Identification Laboratory, Hickam Air Force Base, Hawaii, 1998 - 2000
Responsible for the supervision of six staff agencies to include personnel, logistics, Information Management, and Resource Management, Historical Data, and the Photo Laboratory. All these agencies directly supported search and recovery operations and laboratory identifications for the United States Army Central Identification Laboratory. A Brigade equivalent command tasked with the critical mission to search for, recover, and identify United States casualties from WWII, Korean War, and Vietnam Wars.
• Served as the unit liaison with Department of State, Department of the Army, Navy, and Air Force, United Nations Command-Korea and Commander in Chief, Pacific staff agencies.
• Responsible to the Commander for all resource management functions to include budget formulation and execution, force modernization and manpower actions.
Major, Support Operations Officer, 1st Cavalry Division, Fort Hood Texas, 1997 - 1998
Supervised one maintenance officer and three NCOs in a Forward Support Battalion with a mission to coordinate and provide technical supervision for direct support maintenance, supply issues and medical support to a mechanized Brigade Combat Team consisting of two mechanized infantry battalions, one armor, one field artillery, and one engineer battalion as well as signal, Air Defense Artillery and Military Intelligence support elements.
• Managed all maintenance operations to ensure the brigade's combat systems were maintained at the highest possible rates.
• Managed an 800 line forward ASL valued in excess of $3.8 million dollars.
• Coordinated with external agencies and supported units to develop logistic requirements and balance requirements with available resources.
