< Worked with India engineering group director and IT in an attempt to
establish an India spare parts distribution center. The project was
later canceled.

< Maintained 25 acres of roofs in Cedar Rapids with $1M budget on
replacement & $300k on repair costs using life cycle replacement program,
which leverages costs with lifetime of the asset. Achieved 50%
replacement cost savings by implementing a re-coating strategy of older
roofs and switching to white, single ply roofs. Regarded as expert
roofing consultant on other company owned and leased roofs across nation.
< Purchased and managed all natural gas purchases totaling in excess of $2M
annually. Reduced utility costs by 40% over 3 years by locking in prices
prior to the big run up to $14 in 2003.
< Created internal, annual Energy Week for energy awareness, a week long
daily brown bag of presentations on topics related to energy
efficiency/awareness. This event replaced the company's previous energy
conservation plan and created a following of "energy buffs" within the
company.
< Started and led Facilities Communities of Practice (CoP) to discuss
facilities/energy issues w/other managers across U.S. via teleconferenced
