- Managed operations at the front desk in six clinics, with a total of fourteen providers

- Assisted Business Office in creating a more financially sound operation while maintaining a high standard of patient care resulting in over $1 million in reworked claims

- Provided coverage in the front office as well as medical records when needed

- Trained and coached staff on operational changes

- Developed policies to insure provider visits were maximized, i.e., no shows, cancellations

2005-2008 Kiowa County Memorial Hospital, Greensburg, Kansas

Clinic Manager for two rural health clinics

- Managed an established clinic in Greensburg while opening a second practice in Haviland.

- Opened a new clinic within one year where patient visits were at 100% the 1st quarter (based on number of visits per provider at the other clinic)

- Completed the first state survey successfully

- Gained grant money (approximately $3,000) through grant proposals for funding equipment, furniture, etc., for the new clinic.

- Planned and executed a Women’s Health Seminar as a marketing strategy to introduce two of our providers that specialized in women’s issues. Approximately 80 women attended.

- After a tornado that demolished most of Greensburg in May of 2007, including the hospital and clinic, moved operations to the Haviland clinic and resumed taking care of patients within two days after the tornado.

- Set up a temporary clinic in a trailer in Greensburg to provide care for contractors and those remaining and returning to the town.

- Successfully completed a state survey in the trailer clinic

2000-2005 Pratt Regional Medical Center, Pratt Kansas

Clinic Manager for four rural health clinics

- Solely responsible for recruiting, interviewing, hiring, and counseling for 16 positions

- Transformed previously dysfunctional team into a more efficient and focused team within the first year.

- Introduced and trained staff on new clinic scheduling and billing software

- Reviewed medical records for quality assurance. QA reports revealed marked improvements within the 1st quarter after identifying quality issues.

- Successfully completed two state surveys with no more than three deficiencies and presented the Plan of Action for correction well within the two week deadline.

- After closure of the clinic in order to strengthen other private practices, partnered with the Pratt Co Health Department, the Pratt Regional Medical Center Council and City Commissioners to perform a Needs Assessment for 5 counties in order to determine the impact of the closure.

- Organized and coordinated with a local foundation a town meeting to discuss the results of the assessment.
