Modeling a Hybrid Diode-Thyristor HVDC Rectifier in EMTP-RV

• Designed a hybrid diode-thyristor High Voltage Direct Current (HVDC) rectifier in EMTP-RV
• Investigated the possible reduction of the overall costs of the HVDC transmission system.
• Examined the static and dynamic characteristics of the designed model and compared with the standard HVDC converter.
• Developed controller circuit for the designed model using MATLAB.
