Work Experience
National Account Manager
7/2010 - 9/2012 Rexel / Capitol Light Maintenance, Telecommute - Hartford, CT
Maintained the interior lighting of 500 national Chicos stores, 250 national White
House/Black Market stores, 90 national and international Burberry and others.
Dispatched local national electricians to service these stores for replacement of light
bulbs, ballasts, lighting fixtures and electrical box repairs as requested by the
customer. Managed the electrician in the repairs, ordered all parts needed and
invoiced the order within the customer given budget. Worked directly with Burberry
store management to implement a monthly lighting maintenance program for 90
U.S. and Canadian stores including the creation of new lighting equipment guides
for each store. Tracked work orders on up to three different software programs at
once to meet the customer's expectations and requirements for daily updates on all
work orders received.
Service Center Operations Administrator / Representative
3/2004 - 6/2010 MC Sign Company, Mentor, Ohio
Received work orders for repairs to outside signage and lighting from
commercial companies such as Toys-R-Us, Gap, Burlington Coat Factory,
GameStop, KFC, Taco Bell, etc. via email, telephone or fax. A local sign repair
contractor was contracted using company developed software to do the work on
site based on their work experience, customer work requirements, and location of
job site. Followed the contractor through both company designed software and
customer contracted software such as FM Pilot, and updated the customer on a
daily basis as to the status of the job and if it would be completed within the
purchase order amount given by the customer. If the job was going to go over the
agreed purchase order amount, a quote for repairs was received from the sign
vendor, and a quote was prepared for the customer’s approval. Work was followed
through to completion and the customer notified and invoiced within 45 days.
Reviewed sign vendor's invoice and work documentation to ensure all paperwork
was received and the pricing was in accordance with the contract held with the
vendor or in lines with customary pricing within the industry. In 2007 conducted the
parts ordering and returns for a Yum Corporation national parking lot pole light
relamp project over a 1 year period involving 1700 sites and 20+ sign vendors.
During the one year project over 1,000 purchase orders for parts were created,
managed, and invoiced. In 2009 performed a 2 month customer project for KFC
Corporation to change out 700+ national store sites parking lot pole lights from
1,000w lamps to 400w lamps with each location having an average of 6 lamps/site.
Invoicing for this .5 mil project was completed in one month's time.
On-Site Property Manager
3/1997 - 7/2003 Lable & Company / Ohio Village Apartments, Ashtabula, Ohio
Managed a 120 suite subsidized family apartment complex including the
maintenance of all tenant / payroll / office files. Supervised 6 personnel in
maintenance and cleaning. Reviewed the problems with the site's underground
plumbing and worked with the local plumber to redo several of the underground
plumbing lines to minimize and eliminate sewer backups on the property. Extensive
experience with tenant relations including problem solving and tenant altercations.
Initiated and managed eviction procedures through the local court system.
