Associate Manager

(Vedanta Aluminum Limited, Jharsuguda, Working as a Package Owner of all casting equipments in smelter cast house (includes Ingot caster, Rolling mills, holding Furnaces)

• Efficiently look into the maintenance and commissioning of 4-nos of wire rod rolling mill, as well as preparing technical enquiry, installation, commissioning for holding furnaces, casting equipments and related Utilities.

• Involved in preparing project schedules, supply schedules, erection and commissioning activities.

• Responsible for planning and execution job of holding & melting furnaces, design & installation by M/S Mechatherm, UK, Ingot caster, design & installation by M/S Befessa/Re-metel, Spain, Wire rod mills, designed by M/S Properzi, Italy.

• Responsible for solving the technical queries during execution and commissioning by coordinating with the technology supplier, also ensuring Quality and safety work to be completed within stipulated time frame.

• Monitoring/ executing civil, Mechanical jobs as per equipment design, operational requirements / standards.

• Instrumental in coordinating, commissioning, mechanical maintenance and performance guarantee test to achieve rated capacity of all equipment.

• Holding technical discussions with various bidders to finalize the contracts for Furnaces & caster supply and erection.

• Installed & commission of 10nos of 60MT holding furnace,3nos of 25t/hr ingot casting machine,8 t/hr wire rod mill of the smelter cast house unit, including planning and execution.

• Prepared and maintained project schedules, which includes the schedules of each and every activity.

• Raised indents and planned the materials supply and delivery schedules according to the requirements.

• Executed & commissioned cooling water compressed air pipe line of around 21KM, nitrogen plant, pump houses & related utilities of cast house.

• Performed maintenance and conducted PG test for wire rod mill.

• Efficiently Monitored the Project schedule and highlighting critical bottleneck in the Project Plan. Updating weekly/Monthly MIS reports.
