Sr. Production Planner:

Support master production schedule and sales orders by planning, analyzing material requirements against inventory along with open orders, creating and timely release of work orders to ensure a smooth flow of materials to meet production requirements to avoid delays.

Manage all work orders from creation to completion.

Assist in scheduling plastic fabrication shop.

Coordinate and prioritize material movement from receipt to destination.

Create general routers for assemblies.

Work with multi-level BOMs.

Prepare print packages for production.

Implement and document engineering changes for WIP and inventory to guarantee latest revision and improvement of product is built through ECO/ERN process.

Provide timely, accurate and complete feedback to all departments on all levels pertaining to work in progress, material availability and any potential production problems to ensure that personnel, equipment, materials are provided as needed.

Quickly resolve planning or material issues to avert delays that could affect ship date.

Return all unused material from production back to inventory to keep accurate account of actual material cost on assembly.

Gather information from pertinent departments to obtain cost and lead time of assemblies to be available for quoting purposes.

Quickly disposition all returned material from customer and production including E&O items, while managing warehouses for defective parts.

Participate in annual inventory.

Train co-workers.

Additional Responsibilities as Needed:

Receive parts physically and do system transaction to put parts into inventory in proper location to be quickly and easily located.

Accurately compare receiving documentation, part and purchase order to make certain correct parts are received.

Contact appropriate buyer on purchase order discrepancies for a quick resolution to avoid delays on receipt of material.

Pick stage and issue material from inventory for production or shipping using pick lists, manual requisitions to ensure on time start and ship date is met.

Move parts physically from inventory to appropriate department to maintain material flow and avoid delays in production.

Pick, pack and do systems transactions to ship parts to satisfy customer orders on time.
