QuiteSo Technologies, LLC, Project/Product Manager, Chief Engineer and Founder (June 2008 to present) Re-started work to complete last patent application. Involves completing prototype, writing the technical part of the application, and reviewing with lawyer. Remaining development was an incremental release. Methodologies used were SCRUM and FDD. Verifying business and product requirements.

HRplus (sold to Allied Barton), Project Manager and Lead (October 2007 to June 2008) Provides background screening services. Responsible for driving technology growth including product management, software development, operations, QA/configuration management. Also, includes infrastructure and data warehousing. New applications were web-based with role-based functionality. The work was done in-house and overseas. Methods where SCRUM and Agile PM. The overseas work was managed SCRUM. Web-services used the HRxml standard. This allowed integration into large company’s backend. Work includes web based business applications and converting legacy applications into services. Work is done on site and overseas in India. Improved product release time from 6-12 months to 4 weeks. .NET, C#, sql, Jscript was used.

QuiteSo Technologies, LLC, Project/Product Manager, Chief Engineer and Founder (May 2005 to Sept 2007 and June 2008 to present) A start-up in the digital pen to paper space. Sole inventor of pen-based technology for the forms market. Responsible for technology vision, product management, core development (Tablet PC, and embedded development), outsourced work, and manufacturing prototypes. Developed embedded and web-services. Methodologies used were SCRUM and FDD. Work was done in-house and contracted. Markets include North America and the Europe. Four patents pending. Product management included defining the market space, identifying the market pain, reviewing the business model opportunity, defining features to be delivered, and launching the product.

Technical Overview – All inventions were developed based on market position. The company, though very technical, was market driven with its activities. Designed, developed, and prototyped a digital pen with many configurations, web-based applications, and peer-to-peer options. The TI 430 chip was used. The TI IDE was used. C++ and assembly code were used. Kiniox accelerometer was used to calculate relative positions calibrated to a writing surface. A Kalman filter was used in the implementation. Another embodiment was having a fixed point to ensure an absolute position using a radar measurement scheme; accelerometers were also used in a PDA implementation. There were also several unique distance measuring schemes. An AirLogic chip was used, SanDiisk Flash memory. Code was written to interface with mass storage device and the wireless chip. Also, a patent pending electro-mechanical device was designed and prototyped. The pen device used a cam follower approach. Tablet PC, XML interface and mySQL were used in the prototypes. There were several different configurations that required extensive redesigns. .NET, C#, Jscript, and sql were used.

Contract Positions (concurrent with QuiteSo Technologies)

Arapahoe County Colorado IT Department, Sr. Project Manager (Contract Position) (August 2007 to September 2007) Responsible for developing project plans for the County Morgue’s office. Projects include linking the Morgue Office systems to the Sheriff Office systems. The process to being followed was based on the PMP. Likewise, requirements were broken down so that a contract and in house software development could late place. Wyoming Health Department, Sr. Project Manager (Contract Position) (February 2007 to August 2007) Sr. Project Manager for newly formed IT department. Responsible for infrastructure roll out and production readiness of the statewide Women Infant and Children (WIC) program’s smart card (credit card) transaction implementation with POS, and HIPPA constraints. The program was a multi-state development process. Process improvements including defining and implementing an Agile development processes. The current development process was not Agile like. Little effort had be made to improved the process. Efforts were concentrated on getting the development group’s process changed. Bea Systems, Inc., Agile Consultant and Project Manager (Contract Position) (September 2006 to December 2006) Sr. Project Manager responsible for defining and implementation of an innovative Agile development process. Agile with SCRUM, sprint process was put in place. Organized change management activities to convert software group from a waterfall life cycle to modern Agile methods. Included linking the business unit's requirements to development processes and operational release processes. The final result was an innovative use of SCRUM and FDD Agile methods.

Aerospace Testing Alliance, Inc., Sr. Project Manager and Engineer (Feb 2003 to May 2005) Service company tailored to provide aerospace testing for military and commercial customers. Responsible for core instrumentation technology projects and system/software engineering. Involved in developing embedded software and project management and deploying systems for a multi-year project with leading edge technology. Responsible for company-wide measurement uncertainty standards and implementation.

Aurigin Systems, Inc. (Jan. 2000 to July 2002) Project Manager and Lead. A dotcom start-up specializing in intellectual property management systems. Worked in concert with CTO to define overall technology vision. Supervised marketing/engineering release process, program management and release roll out for Aurigin's 1st ASP (3-tier) web services, and enterprise solutions. Helped define product feature sets. Decreased release cycle-time from 10 months to 3 months - 5 successful product releases. Implemented Agile development/marketing methodology. Provided project management on software releases (development with data content engineering, QA, publications, and production roll out). Also, includes dataware housing, infrastructure, BI and analytics. Use the PMBOK framework, Agile, SCRUM and FDD. Systems Engineer: Sverdrup Technology, Inc. (May 1987 - Jan. 2000) Primary work included development and delivery of advanced software and systems in the US, UK, Germany, and South Korea. Mostly fast-track, firm-fixed projects. Employed a variety of development methods including Rational’s RUP, and Agile. Instrumentation and embedded (kinematics) were provided

Systems Branch Manager, Project Manager, and, Architect: Engineering, Sverdrup Technology, Inc., ATOM Group (1998-2000) Four person initial start-up team for new division of a large technology contract at NASA Ames Wind Tunnels. Projects included server operations, SLA conformance and improvements, large databases, visualization applications, real-time embedded systems, and electro-mechanical applications. In charge of staffing for branch, new projects, deploying software and systems projects for advanced technology in wind tunnels and testing environments.
