Supplier Quality Engineering Specialist

Drove Supplier Quality through use of quality tools and Six Sigma methodology. Management of Supplier Quality Manual and ISO 9000 / 14001 related documents. Supported a team of 25 Supplier Quality Engineers in conducting statistical trials using advanced statistics. As IT expert, automated data to measure supplier performance. Coached Six Sigma teams.

Experience outside Canada

Prior to coming to Canada I worked as Plant Industrial Engineer in Heavy Industry. As Industrial Engineer and an IT system expert I was responsible for Continuous improvement projects, Capital Budgets/expansion projects, Quality Management and IT system development. Some of my Key achievements are:

• For a Automotive supplier implemented QS9000 and later updated to TS16949

• Conducted the QS9000 core tool training – APQP, PPAP, FMEA, SPC, MSA and CP

• Implemented and maintained ISO9000 quality management system in a large Aluminium smelter

• Developed and implemented Six Sigma methodology based continuous improvement program that initiates 30 projects and generates an average savings of US $1M every year.

• Re-engineered the “manufacturing to stock” to “manufacture to order” system using the pull a concept.

• Reduced “Inquiry to Invoice” cycle time from 20 to 5 days by re-engineering the SOP (Sale Order Processing system).

• Reduced man hours / ton from 1.2 to .9 in Casthouse with 450 employees, over 2 year period, through Industrial Engineering projects.
