I am currently the art teacher for PS 327’s after school program. It is a part time position where I am teaching K-5 Monday- Friday after school for the YWCA program. I am responsible for creating lesson plans and coordinating artwork for various events. Working at this school presents many challenges which I have learned how to gracefully overcome with lots of success and finding lessons that touch on both an artistic, cultural and therapeutic basis.

Taught art classes for one complete semester under the guidance of cooperating teachers. I was privileged to gain some useful tools necessary to become a successful teacher such as classroom management strategies. While at Jefferson, I taught a class of ten students with Autism which allowed me to implement art therapy into my lessons.
o Fieldwork Lincoln Elementary School 2006-2009
Successfully completed seventy hours of fieldwork at Lincoln Elementary School in Mount Vernon, NY; Assisted teachers and students while gaining useful observations from in classroom experience.
