Schawk, @ RadioShack Fort Worth, TX (March 7, 2005 – current - Production Manager

Recruited as the Packaging production manager for the Schawk onsite Packaging design team @ RadioShack.

Essential duties and responsibilities:

• Responsible for the packaging process... maintaining an efficient workflow for internal RadioShack standard operating procedures as well as our own internal Schawk artwork production standard operating procedures

• Manage brand consistency (structure review’s / direct photography studio product set up/ direct image retouching / review production artwork builds)

• Validate Packaging structure diagrams / CAD drawings for 1:1 and ensure the structure will work for the brand look. Providing feedback and resolving diagram issues with the RadioShack Source Office in Asia as well as the Fort Worth Project managers and domestic print vendors.

• Gather all technical information as it pertains to the type of print method and provide technical input/feedback with regards to printability/design/color and structure.

• Review SKU Requirements applicable to RadioShack Brand Looks , violators, style guides, Licensing, and check for pick up assets

• Manage timelines and packaging schedules

• Manage all jobs through artwork production, approvals and prepress

• Send PDF’s out for Asia Or domestic vendor reviews at all routing stages

• Resolve any project issues

• Manage language translation requests

• Perform Quality Control of all packaging artwork for traps, density readings, verify UPC codes, data management of final files, lasers and additional digital proofs as needed and burn CD’s.

• Mange vendor changes

• Manage all US and Asia production file transfers (FTP)

• Review and Approve Press Sheets and 1st run print samples before vendors proceed to mass print

• Managed the workflow for sports and game programs through internal production departments.

• Helped to establish internal prepress and production standard operating procedures.

• Troubleshoot any possible concerns with Licensor legalities, design make-up, prepress issues.

• Conduct various critical product planning meetings with Editorial, Design, Photo, Finance, Product Development, Prepress, Manufacturing representatives, Brand Managers, VP of Production, VP of QC, Game Designers, etc…, to anticipate, review and organize the resolution, tests of any peculiarities and special requirements of the programs as necessary.

• Review all internal approval materials for Quality Control.

• Route and track internal approval materials through various production departments.

• Maintain internal scheduling program for card builds, packaging, and various sales material items

through production

• Rework and coordinate the schedules as needed due to internal requirements, changes from either the Licensor or our own internal development or sales/budget issues.

• Set up Game Card Form breakdowns and Form layout printing information based on card set drop
