Academic Research Experience:
University of Dayton
Nano-Fabrication Lab Spring - 2011
• Designed Anti-reflection Thin-film coating for Visible region
• Designed Photo-detector for Visible region
• Developed different Optical mask/pattern designs using Photolithography process.
Responsibilities:
Understand the semiconductor processing techniques, which include Thin-Film deposition (PVD, CVD), Film Etching, Photolithography process and Wafer Bonding
Studied characteristics of thin films using Thin Film Analyzer and Stylus Profilometer
Examined the photolithographic mask/pattern designs using Optical Microscope
Structural studies of etched profile surface using Scanning Electron Microscope
Image Processing using MATLAB Spring - 2010
• Super-resolution (SR) image reconstruction from a sequence of low-resolution (LR) frames
The objective of this project was to reconstruct a high resolution (HR) image from a sequence of distorted LR frames to automatically detect and recognize the letters on a vehicle number plate
Registration of each frame to a reference frame to eliminate the translational and rotational shift using the matrix by the estimation of autocorrelation and cross correlation concepts
Performed non-uniform interpolation technique on the set of available frames to fuse the information from multiple low resolution images to create high resolution image
De-blurring the interpolated image using Regularized Least Squares (RLS) restoration filter
Professional Work Experience & Internship:
Nu-Tek Optics, Hyderabad, India Nov 27, 2006 - Dec 15, 2008
Responsibilities:
Conversion of all system level specifications into the lens design parameters
Designing a paraxial model of lens system to meet basic specifications
Optimization of the design using Zemax for all defined specifications
Performance evaluations and tolerances budgeting using Monte Carlo analysis
