Manufacturing Engineer worked to developed, evaluated, and improved lean manufacturing methods in highly advanced machine shop to support machinist. Works with R&D of new products to incorporate manufacturability and assembly features into the product to reduce overall part costs and to transfer new products from the design phase, into the manufacturing environment. Generate make-versus-buy proposals and recommends corrective actions for areas of responsibility. Establish preliminary BOMs and routers for input into the ERP system. Define and generate all required documentation for validation of equipment and processes used to manufacture products. Full project details review on fans/ motors and solenoids valves and pumps, safety, relief, motors and generators, instrumentation and controls, to meet specifications ISO 9001, NADCAP; National Aerospace and Defense Contractors Accreditation Program, and AS9100 and other aerospace certifications. Design parts as 3D models using PRO-E or Solid Works to be programmed and machined on the capable machine.
