Since leaving school I have pursued a career in Fabrication and Welding. Initially I took up a role at North West fabrications that enabled me to gain vital experience which led me to gain a full time paid apprenticeship. For a period of six years I worked at U.B.H International, were I successfully completed my apprenticeship as a pipe fitter welder and gained the necessary experience to be offered a full time position as a pipe fitter welder. After working at U.B.H I got a position as a pipe fitter welder for Goldrig engineering working on site. Currently working at Studley engineering as a pipe fitter welder.

Key Skills

• TIG 6G pipe coded experience in stainless and carbon steel.

• MIG 2G plate coded. Experience in stainless steel and mild steel.

• MMA experience pipe and plate.

• Flux core welding.

• Pipe and plate fabrication.

• Orbital welder operator trained. Experience in all gauges and diameter in stainless steel pipe.

• Circ welder operating experience on large pressure vessels.

Experience

U.B.H International: - Sept 2003- Dec 2009 4 years apprenticeship and further 2 years post apprenticeship working experience.

Goldrig engineering: - Feb 2010 to June 2011.

Studley Engineering :- June 2011 to present.

During my time at U.B.H International I gained valuable experience as a pipe fitter welder such as welding different grades of carbon, stainless steel and duplex to a high standard and also fabricated and fitted pipes in to cryogenic pressure vessels. This included fabrication and fitting of steel fames for tankers using various welding and burning methods i.e. plasma and oxy-acetylene cutting and MIG, TIG and MMA welding processes. Able to read from engineers drawing’s isometric, schematic and 2D. At Goldrig Engineering I have gained further experience working on high pressure, steam and chemical pipe lines within a pharmaceutical environment. General Maintenance on machinery brake downs and planning of future maintenance development. The skills, qualifications I have gained will enable me to be an asset to any company in my future career. At Studley engineering were I am at present I work in fabrication shop and on site working from drawings to fabricate weld and install pipe lines ranging from thin wall one inch lines to heavy wall thirty inch lines.
