This resulted in the company establishing more than 30 percent market share in Tier 1 and further enhanced brand value. OCS Technologies, Pleasanton, CA 1995 – 1996

Executive Vice President Sales and Marketing

Retained on a management contract by investors to take over and stabilize this $40 million public safety application software (police,fire,EMS) and integration services company in severe financial difficulty. Provided an assessment of the situation and recommendations for refinancing and restructuring operations on a long-term basis.

Reduced staffing by 40 percent in the first month, while maintaining customer service levels. Refocused the organization and achieved operating break-even position within six months. Renegotiated $15 million of contracts to improve profit and cash flow. Introduced increased pricing and new procedures to raise maintenance revenue by 50 percent. Formed distribution and development alliances with Motorola and Sybase. Recommended break-up and sale of company as best path to recovery for investors. The business was sold as going concern.

Frontier Cellular (Verizon), Rochester, NY 1994 – 1995
