Inventory Control Manager – Responsible for all aspects of inventory accuracy for the distribution center in Montgomery, Alabama. This includes the monitoring of the receiving process to include matching vendor part numbers to internal company sku numbers and purchase orders. Resolve operational problems with Distribution Operations, Finance and Merchandising including receiving, inventory and invoicing issues. A daily review for and correction of any variance between the warehouse management and perpetual inventory values is performed. Management of a random cycle count process to validate inventory valuation for both internal and external accounting groups. Coordinate the efforts of the Vendor Compliance program to include frequent communications with the merchant group and a wide variety of vendors and suppliers in order to resolve purchase order and bill of lading discrepancies. Coordinates with Finance, Loss Prevention and Distribution Operations departments to ensure a variety of system reconciliation including the termination of product flow to facilitate store and Distribution Center audits. Manages the daily activities of the Inventory Control Department including all cycle count activities. Works with the Inventory Audit Manager to ensure WMS/Host inventory accuracy.

The direct management of 19 production employees and one hourly employee including ensuring proper procedures are in place and followed to ensure the highest quality in output.

Materials Manager – Responsible for the management of the finished goods and raw material warehouses. Coordinating the receipt of raw material both into the production facility and the off-site inventory warehouses to reduce overall inventory levels and eliminate any aged inventory. Manage the Materials Groups portion of the engineering change requests and changes process to include impact analysis and obsolete inventory elimination Responsible for receipt and staging of finished goods from production and the shipping of this material to customers to ensure on time delivery; scheduling pick-ups for LTL trucking companies, common carriers along with the maximization of our company trucks.

Tube Mill - Master Scheduler - Responsible for establishing long range production schedules for tube requirements. Supervise tube mill scheduling, shipping, receiving and shipping administration. Determine tube mill raw material requirements using sales forecast, MRP, and established supplier lead times. Monitor and control QS9000 procedures to ensure employees are trained and following procedure requirements. Supervise a total of eight employees in Tube Mill Scheduling, Tube Mill Shipping & Receiving, and Tube Mill Shipping Administration. Responsible for the overall direction, coordination, and evaluation of these units. This includes interviewing, hiring, and training employees; planning, assigning, and directing work; appraising performance; rewarding and disciplining employees; addressing complaints and resolving problems.

Shop Floor Facilitator - New position established to utilize skills in implementation of a company-wide integrated computer system that linked all accounting, sales, and production and materials functions. Reported to plant manager as liaison between production, engineering and Management Information Systems. Performed time studies, material usage studies, and process analyses to establish bills of materials and bill of operations. Established part numbering structures, and cross reference of customer/supplier parts. Created and implemented shop floor routing sheets and procedures.

Tube Mill – Assistant Scheduler - New position established to utilize all skills in support of Master Scheduler position. This includes monitoring/mentoring Production Clerk position. Verified reports generated by Production Clerk, as well as expediting material from suppliers.
November, 1991 – April, 1992
Tube Mill – Production Clerk - Responsible for gathering and reporting of all production information. Also responsible for writing up orders sent to shop floor, compilation of information into daily, weekly, and monthly production reports. These reports are used in cost accounting functions.
