Operations Manager (2001-2008)
· Manage a food manufacturing facility comprising 150 plant employees and 12 additional support department managers.
· Approximate annual sales aggregate $25M with pre-tax profits of $2.5M.
· Report directly to the Vice-President and General Manager.
· Managed the P&L responsibility of a $5M production budget for direct plant expenses and an additional $2.5M budgeted for indirect expenses.
· Facility produces an average of 275 to 325 thousand pounds of freshly prepared refrigerated products: soups, salads, entrees, and deserts each week, 125 to 175 different products daily.
· Directly manage Plant Manufacturing Operations; Scheduling; Purchasing; Warehousing; Distribution; Maintenance; Sanitation; Research and Development; Quality Control and its regulatory affiliations.
· Led initiatives for policy and procedure creation and implementation.
· Successfully executed completion; new product launch of 28 items within a two-month period.
· Achieved 92-95% acceptance rating on annual audits conducted by outside third-party agencies for 6 consecutive years.
· Responsible for interviewing, hiring, training, performance reviews, staff meetings; provide structure for corporate calendar, budget, upcoming audits, new product launches.
