• Design, Architecture, Integration, Configuration and implementation of Enterprise Commercial Voice services. Timely launch of Business Comcast Digital Voice (BCDV), Trunked Services, Toll Free Service, Integrated Last Mile Access, Voice Self Supply, Family Plan, Fixed Mobile Convergence and IP Multimedia Subsystem (IMS).

• Define, Implement and evolve backhaul strategies for Wireless Broadband 3G / 4G using Comcast’s dark fiber, Circuit Emulation over IP (CEoIP) or Pseudo Wire Emulation End to End (PWE3) and participate in the Metro Ethernet Forum representing Network Engineering to use native ethernet (carrier Ethernet) as a means of transport.

• Provided leadership and direction for research participants within our Technology Development Organization. Served in a liaison capacity and worked closely with Corporate Strategy, Information Technology, Product Development and Network Development organizations to complete and succeed on critical projects (ex. Combo Phone (dual mode phone: CDMA & Wi-Fi ) and Samsung’s UbiCell (with IP Backhaul over broadband).

• Held responsibility for determining, defining, outlining and documenting Internal Customer requirements and expectations. Performed detailed test planning, executed test cases, published Technical Reports that captured practical observations, suggestions, recommendations, and performed the live demonstrations for Executives, peers, and Customers (Stakeholders - both Internal and External).

MAJOR ACHIEVEMENTS

• Evaluated and validated Motorola’s Multiservice Enterprise Access (MEA) Platform which is based on CWDM as a means of “Alternative Cellular Backhaul” (to backhaul the T1 and Ethernet services) over an MSO’s “Dark Fiber”. Proposed this solution for Cable MSO’s as a viable technology for voice transport and revenue savings.

• Migrated Lucent’s HLR to SDHLR and finally to HSS, IMS 2.0, 3.0 and 4.0. Evaluated Lucent’s “Smart Antenna” technology for optimum capacity planning and better customer experience. Performed Lab proof of concept (PoC) trial of Nortel’s and Lucent’s EV-DO Rev. 0 & upgraded to Rev. A and Rev. B

• Supported Combo-Phone (Dual mode: Wi-Fi and CDMA) Lab. Trial over the Coaxial Cable Infrastructure using IP Multimedia Subsystem (IMS) platform from Cisco Systems for Seamless Mobility and Dynamic Quality of Service (DQoS) using “Full Packet cable Multi Media (PCMM)” for better Customer experience.

• Installed, configured, and performed a detailed evaluation to improve In-building cellular penetration using a “Clariton” Distributed Antenna system (Micro cell) over existing CATV, Airvana’s Femto Cell, and Samsung’s UbiCell (Pico cell) over a Hybrid Fiber Coaxial Infrastructure. Validated that the Clariton system increases the coverage inside the buildings by repeating the signal, improves customer experience and capacity. Verified that the system can work with Multi Carriers and proposed this solution for “i-DEN” & “CDMA” signals integration for better coverage.

• Integrated, evaluated, and demonstrated “Services and Applications” for Cooperative Cable IP Service’s Proof of Concept testing that cross telephony and cable service delivery networks. Features included TV Caller ID, Call Waiting, TV Caller ID, TV Call Log, Call Controls, Picture Caller ID, and web-based self-provisioning tool. Configured the Integra 5 (Caller ID Application server) as a Gateway between the Call Management Server (CMS - Nortel CS2K, Cisco BTS 10200 and Cedar Point’s Safari C3) supporting SIMRing (Simultaneous Ringing) feature and displayed all supported features on the TV connected to the Set Top Box (STB) via. HFC (Digital Headend) from Scientific Atlanta a Cisco Company and Motorola.

• Integrated, evaluated and demonstrated “Location Based Services (LBS)” using Application Server from ITAAS as a LBS Gateway and Auto Desk’s Database to locate cellular subscribers (family members, esp. children), businesses and points of interest.

• Installed, Configured and provisioned Point-to-Point Microwave cellular backhaul (MMDS) for Over the Air (OTA) 3G & 4G cell sites for Drive testing using Ceragon, Dragonwave, Gigabeam and Redline equipment.

• Currently working on a $3M Budget for a core infrastructure upgrade. This involves getting quotes from Cisco Systems for upgrading ITP Chassis, BTS 10200 Softswitch and Content Delivery Network’s (CDN’s) hardware/software upgrade. This involved defining and negotiating an Annual Maintenance contract and OCAP Upgrade for Scientific Atlanta’s Digital Headend Infrastructure.

• Designed the network infrastructure and architecture to test IP Telephony and Softswitch software. Utilized our existing hardware platforms to achieve reliability, fault tolerance, and redundancy; saving our system test group 40% of the allocated budget.

• Designed, installed, and configured test bench for testing VoIP supporting H.323, SIP, and inter-working functionality with Telos wireless switch (Media Gateway and Media Gateway Controller).
