•Developed and implemented an industry leading training program for new plant operators.
•Implemented a departmental business plan to transform itself from a cost center to a revenue generating department. Generated over $800,000 in new business for the organization.
•Updated business practices to capture cost savings and ensure budgetary conformance without reducing the effectiveness or the quality of deliverables. Savings exceeded $200,000.

Responsible for monitoring the construction of VeraSun’s third 110MM gallon facility while implementing all phases of the plant’s startup plan.

•Developed and implemented the plant’s staffing strategy including salary administration plan. The plant’s organizational structure reached optimum staffing levels prior to start up for the first time in company history.
•Documented the process to provide repeatability for future plants.
•Developed and implemented the training strategy for new employees and for all new plants.
•Developed the startup strategy for the plant and initiated implementation to provide Verasun its most successful startup.

•Increased the critical customer on-time shipment metric from worst to first in the company within six month timeframe, and continued steady improvement each month as we learned a new ERP system.
•Effectively changed the plant culture during SAP startup to a culture of personal initiative and responsibility.
•Developed and implemented a back haul model for Delivery Systems (trucking operations) which delivered a $250,000 freight saving within the first year. The concept was expanded across North America increasing the saving to over $2,000,000 in the next year.
•Built the model as part of a cross-functional team evaluating all North America plants for a strategic footprint study during the integration and consolidation of Nalco’s and Calgon’s manufacturing operations resulting in a $5 million savings annually.
