Instrumental in developing plans for the conducting a detailed research on specific areas for further enhancement of the machinery. Successfully handled all the required installation & commissioning of various equipments. Adept at recommending / implementing modifications and equipment calibrations to enhance operational efficiencies of the systems. Headed various assignments for energy saving, cost controlling, waste elimination as well as productivity improvement. Project Execution: Involved in project activities involving working out various requirements with respect to Machines, Equipments & manpower; monitoring operations for ensuring timely completion. Managing resources to perform project activities in a cost effective manner. Looking after detailed engineering design and management, submittals, approvals and procurement. Conducting equipment identification, procurement & implementation, vendor development & negotiation. Creating standard report formats for real time and historic reports as per the process/ plant supplier requirement. Generating: P & I drawings as per the plant flow sheets and BOQ for plant instrument erection. Doing technical evaluation of instrumentation related packages for Field instruments, Control valves/ On-off valves, Controller packages (DCS/QCS/ PLC), local field instruments, cables & erection hardware accessories. Attending FAT/ Inspections for DCS panels, Field instruments, control valves, instrumentation cables, control panels.
Instrumentation and Automation: Executing process measurement & control instrumentation & services to optimise manufacturing processes. Configuring and programming of various plant equipments, PLC and single loop controller commissioning. Developing logic flow charts/ interlock diagrams as per requirement of process operation & client feedback. Assessing the electrical / general arrangement diagram for control panel/PLC panel for the commissioning of pith press machine. Executing the configuring and testing of process specific interlocks; testing control panel logic, PLC logic. Generating & testing function blocks/ control strategies; carrying out all arithmetic calculations/ Algorithms.
Maintenance Operations: Forecasting & formulating O & M budgets and overseeing predictive, preventive and breakdown maintenance of machines. Scheduling and planning predictive, preventive and breakdown maintenance jobs with key focus on spares availability and root cause analysis. Preparing maintenance plans/schedules for reducing machinery downtime ensuring smooth production.
Process Enhancement: Planning, implementing & monitoring of technological changes to enhance productivity. Modifications in equipments, process flow, working practices, consumables, power, etc. for controlling & reducing conversion cost per unit produced.
Installation & Commissioning: Installation and commissioning of the heavy equipments as well as conducting tests & inspections to ensure operational effectiveness of plant & utilities. Reviewing engineering drawings, layouts, diagrams, technical specifications, cost estimates for erection & commission of the plant; reviewing & analyzing contractor's change order proposals & submittals.
Team Management: Directing, leading & motivating workforce and imparting continuous on job training for accomplishing greater operational effectiveness/ efficiency. Working on succession planning of the workforce, shift management activities, appraising the member’s performance & providing feedback to the queries.
