I started out as an Employment Systems Technician coding for the VA employees from throughout the U.S. We coded their information into the PAID system for all of their direct deposits, savings allotments, saving bonds, thrift savings plans, health insurance, address change, name change, etc. This job was automated about a year ago and we changed over to what we are now currently doing. During the time I was there, I was also detailed to other areas also. I have worked in the OPF room, reviewing OPF's. I have been detailed to the call center during open season for changing or enrolling in health benefits and thrift savings plan. I was detailed for 3-4 months to classification where we worked with all the different positions and position descriptions as far as classifying the pay and pay grades associated with the positions. I have also volunteered for a number of other duties as the need came about. I have received several performance awards since I have worked there.
