Engineering and Design of large signage projects. Annual sales of $45M.

Director of Supply Chain Report to CFO. Nine direct reports.

Developed and instituted Procurement/Material policies and procedures.

Set-up and monitored master agreements with key suppliers eliminating excess inventories by providing delivery schedules our long and short-term delivery needs.

Centralized all procurement under one department.

Redirected inventory levels based levels based on major cost structures thus reducing our inventories by $75,000 the first year and over $150,000 the next three years.

Set-up and monitored a statement billing program with several MRO suppliers for low dollar high volume materials thus eliminating multiple purchase orders and monthly invoices.

Negotiated and signed a master contract with a major air carrier for corporate travel. The company recognized a $550,000 savings in airfare in the first two years of the contract.

Through the competitive bidding process, we signed a new lease agreement for our corporate fleet. This saved the company over $100,000 annually, and helped reduce the use of rental cars by 25% saving an additional $25,000 annually.

Responsible for coordinating construction site logistics schedules for suppliers and VMI trailers.

Worked with production purchasing managers at CB&I to help insure that materials (sheet steel, support steel, and fabricated steel) were scheduled and delivered to site build locations on time.

Implemented an EDI purchasing program for steel purchases. This program helped reduce the number of purchase orders issued daily by up to 33%, and helped the steel buyer manage his time more efficiently, and become more productive.

Developed and implemented, and managed a new traffic department. This resulted in the company maintaining control of freight cost by working more closely with key and specialty carriers.
