Business Financial Consultant (Opened Independent Affiliate office from my home serving the Tennessee area).
Responsibilities include assisting business acquisition and franchisee buyers seek financing through various SBA loan programs. I analyze financials from businesses and buyers to determine if they are fundable under SBA guidelines and structure a loan for the buyers that will fit a preferred SBA lender.
Relocated my family from Florida to Tennessee.

Production Manager
Responsible for the manufacturing of CT scanners and X-ray airport explosives detection systems from first design to complete manufacturing release. This new division of L-3 Communication was a start-up division which was developed after the 9-11 attack to ensure security in our nation’s and international airports throughout the world.
• Built a team of associates from 3 associates to over 100 manufacturing associates with 3 Team Leaders.
• Transitioned the California plant to Florida to reduce costs, streamline manufacturing, and improve quality.
• Relocated the Florida manufacturing plant twice from office space to a 70,000 SQF facility, then to the new 150,000 SQF plant now in existence. This was all completed while continuing the manufacturing of airport CT scanners and meeting the contract completion date set by the department of Homeland Security.

Responsible for the contract manufacture of all Box Build assemblies including Power Meters, Emergency Communication systems, Routers, and Square D Power Products. This area includes Final Assembly of PCBs, Box Build assemblies, Burn-In, and Functional Test.
• Served as a member of Flextronics’s Kaizen Steering Committee, representing Manufacturing.
• Kaizen Team Leader assigned to the layout of the Box Build Assembly and Functional Test area. This accounted for approximately 30% of the manufacturing floor.
• Assisted in the exit strategy for the relocation of this plant to our Mexico facility. I was one of the last employees to leave as I did not want to relocate to Mexico.
Manufacturing / Plant Manager 09/99 – 02/00
Responsible for the entire manufacturing and operations of our Weekend Shift operation. This included Surface Mount, Auto Insert, Hand Insertion, Wave Solder, Hand Solder, System Assembly, In Circuit Test, Functional Test, and Shipping.
• Assisted in the exit strategy and realignment of the weekend shift, assisting all 50 employees find new position on other shifts, other divisions, or with other local employers.

Responsible for special assignments from the President, Plant Manager, COO, and the Engineering Manager.
• Transferred assemblies from our plant in Michigan to our plant in Florida.
• Process improvement projects in our Unit Build area reducing costs and improving productivity.
• New product introduction for the many new customers they had acquired.
• Special cost savings projects were implemented through out the manufacturing floor.
Production Manager, PCB Assembly 10/97 – 08/98
Responsible for all manufacturing of printed circuit board assemblies, which included; Surface Mount, Auto Insert, Hand and Auto Prep, Hand Insert, Wave Solder, and Hand Solder/Assembly.
• Assisted in the selection of new automated SMT equipment, replacing the old antiquated equipment we were currently using.
• Designed and implemented continuous flow assembly lines in the PCB Assembly area. This reduced costs by decreasing assembly time, improving overall quality, and reducing inventory and WIP.

Responsible for the contract manufacture of various electronic assemblies including; printed circuit boards, mechanical assemblies and final assemblies.
• This Florida plant was a new start up facility from our Gaylord, Michigan plant. I was one of the first 20 associates and we grew to over 600 associates in the 9 years I was employed there.
• Start up Manager for all new customers.
• Member of the ISO 9000 Leadership Team representing manufacturing to earn our ISO 9000 certification.
• Assisted in the relocation of the 50,000 SF facility to a brand new 150,000 SF facility built next door.
• Assisted in the design and implementation of “K-Byte Academy” a full manufacturing training program which utilized “skill training checklists”. This program ensured our success in cross training many of our associates.
