1. WORKING CAPITAL MANAGEMENT IN LANCO INDUSTIRES LTD.

Working capital is the capital required for maintenance of day-to-day business operations. The present day competitive market environment calls for an efficient management of working capital. The reason for this is attributed to the fact that an ineffective working capital management may force the firm to stop its business operations. Hence the goal of working capital management is not just concerned with the management of current assets & current liabilities but also in maintaining a satisfactory level of working capital.

The study of working capital management has shown that LANCO has a strong working capital position. The company is also enjoying reasonable profits.

2. INVENTORY MANAGEMENT IN ULTRA TECH CEMENT LTD.

“Inventory management is concerned with planning and controlling inventories. The role inventory management is to maintain a desired stock level of specific products or items”. There are four types of inventories; raw material, work in progress, finished goods and supplies which are consumed in the creation and distribution goods and services.

It is observed that ultra tech cement ltd. has maintaining a fair level of safety stock. This ensures that production has been continuously made without any shortage of raw material.
