QUALIFICATIONS: I have experience in areas of machining, fabrication, and assembly of prototype, R & D, and production & maintenance/repair work. Also, designing and building jigs and fixtures. Building and repairing single stage, progressive, compound, and transfer dies. Using both English and Metric systems. I have over 30 years experience as a journeyman Toolmaker.

*2010/2010-DZ Atlantic-Calvert Cliffs Nuclear Power, Md.-Machinist (Contract)

Working scheduled outage at a nuclear power plant as inside machinist. Machining, modifying, and repairing components, valve parts, and misc. parts needed to expedite part replacement and repairs necessary to complete outage. Checked valve stems run out to insure TIR was in tolerance.

*2009/2010-HRU Tech.-Rock Island Army Arsenal- Machinist (Contract)

Working at Rock Island Army Arsenal duties include working with Toolmakers building, repairing, and modifying fixtures and gages. Working with tolerances of .00002 for gages and fixtures in support of small arms weapons and artillery. Building shop aids (fixtures), go-no go gages, functional fit gages, drill fixtures, and machining fixtures needed by CNC departments.

*2008/2009-Staffing Across America-Huntsville, Al.- Program Manager/Toolmaker(Contract)

Working with Navistar Defense on MRAP and military wreckers. Duties included modifying parts, drill out holes, machining holes on location, drilling out broken screws & bolts, and tapping holes. Using Bridgeport vertical milling machine, Monarch lathe, DoAll drill press, and Marvell cut off saw. Hand tools used impact wrench, cordless drill motor, easy out, tap handles, combination wrenches, and sockets & ratchets. Identifying parts that were not made to print and/or incorrect dimensions on detail parts.

*2002/2008 – Strom Engineering – Minnetonka, Mn. – Toolmaker/Coordinator(Contract)

Working at International Diesel on a machining transfer line that produces Power Stroke Diesel engine for Ford and International. Machining engine blocks, changing out cutting tools( face mills, drills, taps, and spot facers). Inspecting dimensions to blue print at each station, using thread gages, outside & inside micrometers, snap gages, depth gages, go-no go gages, vernier calipers, height gages, squares, protractors, gage blocks, screw pitch gages, dial indicators, radius gages, small hole gages, surface finish gages, and dial calipers. Also worked in jet engine repair shop. Building drill fixtures, gages, and lifting fixtures to blue prints and work instructions.

Working lead man supervising 25 machinist and toolmakers in Tool room/manual machine shop dept in the areas of machining, fabrication, and assembly for an ISO 9001 defense and aerospace company. Working with Tool Design, Engineering, and Production Control to machine parts, hone, lap, and grind parts for defense, aircraft, and aerospace. Building and repairing weldments, jigs and fixtures. Making jigs and fixtures needed to manufacture components of Tomahawk missiles. Manufactured 900 different parts and components for Gulf Stream Aircraft. Lead man for a large manufacturer of computer port connections for outside companies. Building and maintaining mainly progressive dies for automatic presses. Machining parts in support of production dept. Materials used and heated treated, normalized, and annealed A2, D2, A6, D5, O1, O6, S7, 4140, water harden tool steel and 4130. Grinders used Blanchard, Harig surface grinder, K O Lee OD/ID grinder, and Monoset to grind flat surfaces, angles, radius, outside diameters, and inside diameters.

Duties included building, repairing, and maintaining tooling for a major defense and

Aerospace contractor. Built rotor head drill fixtures for Sikorsky Helicopter and molds for rotor

blades. Built modular to test hatches for space station. Inspecting fixtures and tooling built by outside vendors. Built jigs and fixtures for internal and for external clients. Developed fixtures and tooling for Advanced Cruise Missile. Contracts with NASA, General Dynamics, Sikorsky Helicopter, Pratt & Whitney, Boeing and USBI.
