JOB RESPONSIBILITIES:

1. Identifying suppliers and establishing supplier (Process audit, new process qualification, periodic audit for requalification, recertification) base for special process need for sheet metal, machining, casting, electronics & plastics commodity including composites needs. Signing contract review and NDA with suppliers.

2. Auditing and developing suppliers for Goodrich special process qualification along with AS 9100, NADCAP certifications and other industry regulatory requirements such as REACH etc driven by customer specification.

3. Freezing commercial set up for special process. Supplier info record & FAI approval updating in SAP, PO release in SAP, and parts delivery tracking through Aerovantix. Updating Engineering Change note, drawing / spec revisions.

4. Technical supporting (material & process review, clarification with SBU’s and proposals for equivalent) for Commodity project management for new product development and product transfer for resourcing & feasibility study.

5. Commodity spend matrix review & saving analysis, cost comparison across plant for product transfer for re-sourcing special process in LCC.

Key Deliverable - Achieved:

1. Implemented special process standardization through Continuous Improvement approach and attained Savings for the year 2009.

2. Qualified the supplier source for powder coating & wet painting for in house requirement. Established source for Blackening process.

3. Audited a heat treatment supplier for Aluminium Heat treatment as per NADCAP requirement. Re-Qualified the supplier for Tin/ Silver plating.

4. 130 child parts successfully transferred with FAI approval for resourcing in Low cost country under Ocean transfer project, yielding savings for the value stream.

5. Supported in project transfer for successful resourcing of investment castings.
