AutoCAD Design
OBJECTIVE
To work part time for a stable architectural firm as a Intern Architect using either AutoCAD or Microstation that deals with many aspects of architectural services ranging from residential homes to commercial buildings.
EXPERIENCE

Architectural Designer
Working directly for NASA. Most projects are remodeling of existing buildings within the NASA Johnson Space Center campus and also including Ellington Field and Sonny Carter. Coordinating with mechanical and electrical engineers to create finished construction documents. All design work is done on Microstation V8 XM version.
2/2008-6/2008 CRA Architecture (laid off due to lack of work) Houston, TX

The main client was the federal government. Most projects were remodeling of existing federal buildings including courtrooms, jury deliberation rooms, rotunda’s, and judge’s chambers. Verifying existing conditions through field visits. Coordinated with MEP engineers to create finished CDs for all projects including the Bob Casey Federal Building downtown. All drafting done on AutoCAD version 2006.
7/2007-2/2008 Urban Architecture (laid off due to lack of work) Houston, TX

The main client was EZ Tag and Harris County Toll Road Authority. Most projects were ground up construction using tilt-up concrete or CMU and other projects were remodels of existing offices. Verifying existing conditions through field visits. Coordinated with MEP engineers to create finished CDs for all projects. All drafting done on AutoCAD version 2008.
2/2006-7/2007 Castles Design Group (laid off due to lack of work) Houston, TX

Handled the entire Stage Stores account which included site visits nationwide. Under the supervision of Slayden Clarkson, produced construction documents including floor plans, rcp, fixture and site plans. Coordinated with MEP engineers to create finished CDs for new and remodeled stores.

Designing retail stores all across the US. Responsibilities include problem solving of various sorts ranging from reusage of existing roof top A/C units to conforming with all state and local codes. Design includes interior (fixtures, electrical, floor finish schedule, lighting, etc.) and exterior (signage, glazing, path of egress, etc.) All work drafted using AutoCAD 2002. Clients include H & M, Verizon Wireless, Gateway Computers, Polo Ralph Lauren, Linens N Things, and TUMI.

Also included design of renovations and demolition of some stores.
