PPO Developer. Negotiated for a better rate and contracted physicians, clinics and health care groups to
build a Worker’s Compensation and Auto Liability PPO Network, The physicians are already unhappy with
the low reimbursements and then I asked them to give up a percentage of up to 20% to join. I also recruited
for a Specialty Physical Therapy network and Independent Medical Exam network.
Accomplishments:
For 2009, I was given the goal of changing and contracting 72 physicians that require pre-payment for Independent Medical Exams (IMEs) to a Quick Pay program. As of 11/4/09, I had contracted and changed
103 IME physicians. Additionally, I contracted and locked in the fees of 36 other IME physicians and found
26 hard to find IME specialists for the IME Coordinators.
For a special project in North Carolina, where there were three (3) PPO developers working to add
Physician contracts, I added 52 of the 115 providers contracted.
In 2008, working 32 hours a week, I helped recruit for the PPO in Ohio. I was given the northern part of
the state and I was also asked to help persuade difficult providers in Ohio to join the PPO. I added 539
providers. To reach Circle of Excellence (COE) at the company I worked for, one of the criteria you had to
hit was 40,000 COE points. My contracts equaled 67,445 COE points.

Accomplishments:
Working part-time, added 500 providers to the Worker’s Compensation and Auto Liability PPO in
9 months.
In addition, identified and cleaned up a contract loading issue where the company was losing
money on approximately 200 physical therapy providers each month.

and contracted optometrists and ophthalmologists to build a national network. Went part-time and
did special projects for the provider relations department. This included credentialing the physicians,
correcting difficult claim problems and handling physician calls.
Accomplishments:
Added 700 of 1200 providers within a two year period. Persuaded these physicians to pay Cole $700 and
put Cole Managed Vision’s product in their dispensary.
Convinced a doctor to add a location in an area where, for several years, Cole was unable to get coverage
for its patients.
