02/07 – 04/08 Electro Motive Diesel La Grange, IL

Inventory Cost Analyst

• Project Manager at Electro Motive Diesel managing an Inventory Receivables and Core Recovery project with a potential of $170mm in receivables to Reconcile or Write Up/Off.

• Managed a team of 10 Project Consultants creating and implementing policies and procedures to achieve maximum results as well as refining and updating current Electro Motive procedures

• Review inventory policies and procedures ensuring compliance, operation of proper internal controls and accurate inventory evaluation. Identified areas for improvement and restructured policies for inventory and scrap procedures.

• Coordinated and assisted in the physical counts for 4 EMD Consigned Vendors with a total inventory value of $500 million dollars.

• Traveled to the Consigned Vendors and ensured accuracy of pre and post counts at the Consigned locations. Ran SAP count sheets and recount sheets and was responsible for all documentation that was passed on to the outside auditor ensuring compliance with outside auditing procedures.

• Special projects included the first time inventory reconciliation of 340 Electro-Motive Consigned Vendors. Created client letters using SAP reporting tools and transmitted them electronically. After the Consigned Vendors Inventory was supplied used SAP to run reports getting the latest Electro-Motive inventory for Consigned vendors. Created excel spreadsheets to compare and contrast the SAP database totals to the vendor totals. Variance resulted in the additional research, adjusting totals based upon research or utilizing decision making skills writing Off/Up variances as needed in accordance with GAAP

06/05- 12/06 IBM Global Services Chicago, IL.

Portfolio Cost Financial Analyst

• Worked as an IBM Global Services Cost Portfolio Analyst for the E-Business Sector. Responsible for the cost close and the forecast for the E-Business Sector contracts which comprise a dollar total of $100mm. Provides in-depth knowledge of cost drivers and recommendations for cost improvements.

• Each month I was responsible for generating and submitting a cost forecast. The forecast will incorporate any adjustments from the prior month reconciliation as well as increases/decreases due to new business, termination, growth. Also responsible for providing key drivers and other forms of analysis.

05/04 -06/05 GE Capital Rail Services Chicago, IL.

Commercial Risk Analyst

• Worked for the Rail Division reducing the company’s risk in accounts receivables through the reviews of new and existing customer accounts and enhancing the company’s cash flow with timely collections of customer’s accounts. Also recommends write offs to bring DSO with in company standards

• Reviewing current account scores and reconciling the accounts to establish parameters for new business opportunities as they became available.

• Duties included sales assistance of lease portfolios to bank consortiums, reviewing credit worthiness of individual lease accounts within the selected portfolios, direct contact with customers regarding late payments. Recommends write offs to the Controller to satisfy delinquency is within parameters

• Analyzed and reviewed credit ratios using various resources such as D&B to update database with information from credit reference checks, made decisions satisfying the stringent funding requirements of the bank consortiums. Also financial statement analysis.

06/01 -05/03 Ford Motors Southfield, Mi.

Account Manager

• Project consultant for the Ford Motor account providing Accounts Receivables, Billing and Collections and Payroll services for 20+ engineers at various facilities within the United States

• Used the Ford Everest E-Payable Electronic Data Interchange system for suppliers, provided quotes and billing for contractor services.

• Tracked purchase orders through end of service contract, documenting and invoicing and billing Ford for all services including lodging, expenses, per diems and hourly wages.

Regional Credit and Collections Manager

• Constructed customer profiles based on analysis and assign/adjust credit exposure limits by utilizing financial reports, credit applications, and D&B reports.

• Set up the necessary Governmental software and hardware requirements to access the appropriate GSA Website that allowed the Credit Reps access to data that was pertinent to their positions.

• Supervised 10 Collection Representatives and controlled internal access to GSA website, directing Collection Representatives in the identification of payment process flow and verifying accuracy of invoices

07/98-05/00 SAP America Westchester, IL

Senior Credit Analyst

• Assigned special task based on outstanding performance of analyzing high volume account that constituted $50mm in invoices that were outstanding for more than 5 years.

• Designed a dispute resolution system to address more than $50 million in disputed billing issues. Used the dispute resolution system as a model, created new procedures to address other high volume customers for future credit/ collection efforts.

• Worked with customer team to successfully collect disputed invoices, provide account analysis and solved billing issues. Project concluded with successful payment of $25 million from customer.
