T&D Machines - (Feburary 2012 to Present)
Position: Machinist/assistant manager
Job Responsibilities: Assist in overseeing several departments while
maintaining production goals on a daily basis. T&D manufactures rocker
arm systems for over 400 cylinder heads and has developed a reputation
for reliability and customer service second to none in the aftermarket
industry. T&D enjoys a customer base that includes the finest
professional performance engine builders, NASCAR teams and legions of
individual car and boat racers around the world. I have increased
production by 20% since joining the company, as well as trained
several new employees for several departments. Kept up on OSHA
standards and help enforce them as well.
Veka West Inc. - (March 2004 to Feburary 2012)
Position: Tool and Die Maker/Machinist/Shop Management
Job Responsibilities: To create and maintain tooling. Was responsible
for 600 tools. My job is dependent on meeting industry safety
standards and meeting deadlines set by international clientele. On a
daily basis I trouble shoot problems with our production tools. Along
with finding solutions to meet our deadlines, I am was responsible
for running and maintaining three wire edm's, one sinker edm, one edm
drill, three surface grinders, one manual mill, one cnc mill, one
manual lathe, and I also have experience with auto cad and esprit.
Coordinated efforts with not only the machine shop but warehouse and
production floor to meet the needs of clients. Kept current on all
managerial training and HR fulfillments. Have been trained on proper
escalation and conflict resolutions.
Hood Machine- (October 2003 to March 2004)
Position: General Machinist
Job Responsibilities: I operated three cnc mills, one cnc vertical
turret lathe, and two sinker edm's. I was manufacturing parts for
industrial size hydrogen and natural gas pumps.
Education:
Reno High School 1999-2003
I graduated from Reno High School in 2003. I took machining all four
years. I also took classes at R.T.I. for my senior year and earned
college credit.
Other Training and Achievements:
I earned the "Employee of the Year" award last year at Veka West. I
have also been trained in first aid and cpr. I've completed the
training and testing for my Conceal Weapon Permit.
