Key Duties Associated with Planning Function:
Manage the production scheduling process and ensure schedule data input is accurate.
Provide scheduling information to Operations suited to a lean, cellular production environment - producing a daily and weekly rolling sales plan
Implement Kaizen initiatives to improve the scheduling system.
Develop the organization in production and Lean Practice scheduling techniques - visual management systems.
Ensure sales order material requirements for part number made in house are scheduled in order to achieve a smooth and cost effective intake into the manufacturing areas in order to meet customer expectations.
Manage product inventory and accuracy
Facilitate regular review of the products we carry that will meet the needs of our customers and maximize the value within our area of focus
Monitor and evaluate Supplier delivery performance, freight costs, customer on-time delivery performance, inventory turns and days on hand inventory.
Monitor stock levels and determines most efficient and effective way to replenish
