PRODUCTION EXPERIENCE:
• Vast experience in Production and Quality Assurance at Distribution and Manufacturing plants in South-Central America and USA. Production expertise supported by several years of garment production, product development, tech. design, pattern making, cut & sew and other manufacturing disciplines. QUALITY ASSURANCE EXPERIENCE:
• Perform quality inspection to incoming merchandise. Set-up quality procedures at sewing plants.
• Full responsibility for Quality Assurance of Hanes Brand Sleepwear and Underwear, for: Wal-Mart, Target, Eddy Bauer, J C Penney, Costco and Land's End.
• Managed Garment Lab: Performed AATCC and ASTM tests for Flammability, Shrinkage, Washing, Tensile Strength, Color Fastness, Weight and Thread Count for all fabrications.
• Implements ongoing quality improvement processes working with interdepartmental teams. Maintained product consistency throughout product cycle, to include the design, define and build phases through quality checkpoints and testing.
• Analyzed performance data and charts against defined parameters; ensured that tests and procedures were properly understood, carried out and evaluated and that product modifications are investigated if necessary;
• Supervised technical staff in carrying out tests and audits. Checked writing technical and management reports;

• Sped up QA process by 43%, utilizing the OC curve in conjunction with Military Standard and AQL standards. Adopted KAISEN 5-S' methodology, allowing more examinations per Auditor.
• Reduced rework by15% within the first six months. Streamlined inspection process by creating individual templates by product type providing Inspectors with "Easy Packages", with product-specific instructions.
• Implemented flammability tests for children’s sleepwear, in compliance with 16 CFR, 1615, and 1616, within 3 years, when division added this product classification.
• Reduced testing costs by $50,000 annually, by better controlling fabric batches.
• Implemented TQM methods in cutting and sample making; created pattern "blocks" that significantly reduced production steps, improved quality/cost, and save $250.000.
• Adhered to JC PENNEY QUALITY STANDARDS (garment & piece goods) for all customers.
