Started Toyota in 1997 as a Tool and Die Team Leader in
Plastics. My main responsibility was to order all
equipment for the initial shop set up.
Trained the team members on Tool and Die procedures,
safety, TPS, 5S and Kaizen. Performed all of the plastic
processing and machine setup. Was the lead person for the
new model changes. Promoted to Manufacturing Specialist
(Plastics) where I assumed engineering responsibilities for
the Plastics department. Led projects, improved safety
issues, Kaizen processes to improve productivity and served
as environmental compliance lead (ISO 14001) for the
Plastics department. Saved Toyota millions of dollars with
cost down projects and recycling efforts (documented).
Performed many presentations from CEO level to production team level.
