Lean Manufacturing Consultant at Syracuse University Spring’2010
• Led a team of 5 people for a Lean project on Schine Dining Center at Syracuse University to improve the functioning and reduce waste in the process
• Prepared a VSM report on Schine Dining Center at Syracuse University that identified the bottlenecks in the flow paths and proposed strategies to reduce time and improve productivity.
• This also reduced process time at two food stations by 30% which resulted in 13% increase in sales
Industrial Engineering Intern at Oriental Manufacturers (P) Ltd 1st Oct 2008- 15th May 2009
• Worked on process improvement in terms of efficiency and output
• Dealt with product improvement in terms of design, ergonomics, aesthetics, efficiency, etc.

• ‘Thermo-Sire’– Sustainable Manufacturing Product (Spring 2011) – From sustainability point of view, developed a new product concept (heat emitting shoes) and implemented it by performing Life Cycle Analysis and End-of-Life options.
• Denver Airport Baggage Handling System Project Failure (Fall 2010) – Prepared a project report on the causes of project failure and found the effective solutions. Identified problems the project management team faced at Denver Airport and at what phases they made incorrect decisions.
• Trans-Alaska Pipeline Project (Fall 2010) – Generated WBS (work breakdown structure) for the pipeline project. Conducted cost and schedule estimation using COCOMO II estimation software. Made network diagram by entering different tasks and assigning them resources. Covered tracking of allocated resources and budgeting as well.
• Solar Concentrator with Tracking Mechanism (Jan-Jun 2009) – Built a solar concentrator for heating application by using a sensor used to track sunrays for the final project.
