Pakistan Petroleum Limited, March’ 10 – Present:
Primary role is to enhance the implementation of SAP FI module to streamline and implement end-to-end business processes.
Analysis, design and implementation of user based change requests in SAP landscape through CRM using SAP SOLMAN.
Learning business solutions already available in SAP or released after an SAP upgrade. Business Case of solutions is also documented.
Continuous monitoring and maintenance of reported PRFs in SOLMAN and resolving them through telephonic conversation, e-mails or by visiting end-user.
Taking up issues, errors and bugs with SAP remote support through OSS. This also includes analyzing the effect on system of the proposed solution by SAP and implementation of the solution if feasible.
Preparing / Presenting Project Charter and Business Blueprints to implement solutions in SAP.

SAP PROJECTS
Revamping of Chart of Accounts [Yr.: 2011 Head Office, Pakistan]: Project was initiated to comply with new government regulation applicable to upstream industry. Through this project, Product based costing was taken into account. This project has been further augmented to take reporting needs of users into consideration. This was a huge project, which changed the coding masks of all the cost objects (Cost Center, Cost Elements, GL Accounts, WBS Elements and Material Indices) and length of GL codes were made to ten digits from nine. This project involved major migration and mapping between old and new objects so history was remain intact. The following major activities were performed.
Mapping of old GL accounts with proposed GL accounts.
Analysis on discarded and new proposed GL accounts.
BDC recording and Development of BAPI in LSMW to prepare and upload GL accounts, Vendors, Customer and House Bank Master Data.
Development of BAPI in LSMW to upload GL balances from legacy data.
Pilot Implementation of SAP New G/L and Balancing Characteristics [Yr.: 2012 Head Office, Pakistan]: Pilot implementation of New G/L has been performed with full migration of data and information from classic G/L to New G/L. Document Splitting procedures has been activated with both Online and Passive split to meet the requirements of the domain experts. With this our Domain Experts will be able to generate financial statements on profit centers.
SAP Customized Reports: In order to meet the statuary requirements in Pakistan the following customized SAP reports were developed in ABAP to be presented to Federal Board of Revenue (FBR).

Level 6 Business Blueprint on ARIS Business Designer – After our successful Assessment Phase of all the modules, exercise was performed to document business processes up to level three using ARIS Business Designer. Level three is less technical and focuses more on business logic which is much easier for users to understand. Now project has been initiated to extend the level to six which is in line with best practice. This exercise was performed in phases, so that users are adapted to change plus the tool was also new. This helps both the parties to get acquainted.
