SKILLS:
Knowledge of all types of blasting, sand, steel, shot, and ultra high pressure water jetting. Extensive experience in repair and maintenance of UHP equipment, airless paint equipment, blasting equipment, and the troubleshooting of all paint related equipment. Have the ability to train personnel on safe operation of all painting and blasting equipment. I have supervised numerous blast and paint projects for Atlantic Marine Inc. in my nearly 11 years of employment. I am trained and have trained personnel on safety policies and procedures in the shipbuilding and repair to also include all commercial and chemical plant operations. My hands on approach give me an advantage to ensure that I deliver a quality product to the customer in a safe and productive manner.
QUALIFICATIONS:
Twenty years experience in the paint and commercial coating industry
Ten years nine months of working experience in shipyard repair & new construction
Knowledge of NESHAP regulations
Knowledge of NACE, SSPC standards
Completed 5Straining for the paint department at Atlantic Marine Alabama LLC BAE Systems
Knowledge of PDS and MSDS
Ability to read and interpret job specifications
Ability to perform QA inspections on coating applications
Confined entry space experience
Gas - Free Cargo Tank cleaning and chemist certificate experience
